Is there a group that has it harder than the rest? Personally I see that society accepts lesbians and bisexuals a tad bit easier than gay men. This is only my observations and I may be biased as a gay man.. but what are your opinions on it in 2010? Do gay men have a harder time being accepted? Lesbians? Bisexuals? And I am not saying within the gay community, but by heterosexuals..
Blacks. Mexicans have it pretty rough, but only in places where there is dense mexican population. Anyone that offends whitey.
Sam Stoned, I am not referring to race here but to sexual orientation.. Try again.. And please post to say why you chose the one you did or why you feel they are harder for society to accept.. or something...
Gay men have it much harder. Being a lesbian is actually pretty accepted in our society, but more along the lines of "fake lesbos" who fool around just to turn guys on.
I can't decide whether it's gay men or bisexual men. Because gay men if they come out get into a whole sort of scene where they are friends with girls and all that stuff. (work at pacsun) hahah. but bisexual men aren't usually like that, and they lose a lot of the friends they NEED because it freaks them out. I think I would have to say bisexual men, because in most peoples eyes they are just as much of a "faggot" as fully homosexuals.
I disagree. Many times gay men will say they are bisexual because it is more socially acceptable. I know a lot of people like this. And thanks for lumping all gay men into that "scene" of hanging out with girls and working at Pac Sun. Pretty dumb.
No I think you're right, gay men do have it a little rougher. That's just my experence, though, but don't discount it because I'm so young.
I voted even, 'cause maybe it's more based on an individual basis, how much a person suffers. Not everyone is created the same or has been through the same shit. Not everyone is as ashamed or lives in the same kind of community.
haha.... the two pac suns around here seemingly only employ teenage girls and gay men, and both are managed by ladies who are at least 50. i guess its a stereotype for a reason.
there's a reason why the stereotype exists. i know not all gay men are like that, but there sure are a lot, or there'd be a different stereotype. besides, they're all in their teens and probably in high school, way too young to be married.
I know a lot of straight men like that too. Stereotypes may exist, but most of the time the reason isnt substantial, so therefore they do not exist for a reason, or at least a good reason.
