I am so excited to say that I got my first vaporizer today. now if i woke up this morning and said im gonna great deal on a volcano digit i would've never believe it. but i saw an ad on craigslist this morning that had someone listing his volcano digit for $300. how's that for a price?! I couldn't believe it... I've been wanting a volcano for so long but never thought of paying the 500+ for a Classic, let alone the price for a digit. he just said that he isn't into the scene anymore and was just collecting dust in the box. i never in a million years would ever think i would score a volcano digit for 300 bucks. here is a pic of this epic score... Im fairly new to vaporizing so this should be an experience... only question I have is, is it required that I use a Grinder? or would it be ok if I pick everything apart with my fingers? As that's the only thing that's missing is the Orange Grinder. Another thing is, what do you clean after every session? I was going through the manual and this thing looks like a HUGE job to clean! so I was just wondering what I would need to really look over and clean daily or after every use.
You don't need a grinder just chop it up like you would for a joint. And ive never used a volcano so i dont know how often u gotta clean it but its definitely not after every use. Enjoy the vaporizer, its one of my favorite ways to toke, i hope you love it too.
I would grind it but I am sure that for the first time a finger grind will be fine. I found a great grinder on Amazon for only like 20 bucks it's got a keif catcher and it's all metal. Very nice.

Sounds Great! Hey im curious, how does the weed taste through the vape. Im assuming it would taste like 100% pure plant vapour, or does it add its own unique taste like a joint or bong?
I also found a volcano on craigslist for cheap, 250$ but wasn't the digital one. I love it! I don't clean mine after every sesh, in fact I hardly clean it to be honest. The chamber can get a little gummy, and I see you have the other mouth piece that you continue to use and just replace the bag, so you do have to clean that. If you google it there are instructions! As far as the grinder goes, I use it but it isn't required. The weed tastes amazing if you have a fresh bag, if you've been using a bag a while the taste tends to go away, or not be as nice.

dang, you got a digit for that price?! i got a used regular volcano for $400 offa ebay and thought that was an OK deal. nice work! enjoy it, man! it's definitely the BEST way to go. i don't even really smoke any more. I just vaporize, unless i'm out-and-about. althought, I tend to get TOO HIGH pretty much every time i vaporize... i guess it's a good problem to have, but at the same time, you're getting blasted every time you want to get high. it's pretty much all or nothing with the Volcano. (which reminds me... *turns on pre-heat button*) i do recommend using a grinder with a kief catcher. it'll break up your weed completely, plus you're saving keif every time you use it. i only vaporize with kief on rare occassions - for good reason. i'll put a little bed of weed down then add only a tiny dusting of kief. if you do this (or use more kief), you better put on your space helmet! and cleaning the volcano is somewhat tedious, but SO worth it. every time i do it, i tell myself that i'm going to do it way more often because it really improves the taste THAT much. be sure to wear rubber gloves, cause the alcohol will fuck up your skin. i've always used everclear - expensive, but works really well. be sure to save the vaporized remains, too. i just made butter with a little over an ounce of remains and it totally kicks my ass. and to think you've already gotten REALLY high off this weed at least once... i went out to a thrift store and found an old camcorder carrying bag for my volcano. good size (holds everything, plus has pockets for accessories) while also disguising what it is you're carrying. but im very careful about where i take it. dont need to get pulled over and lose the thing to the cops or anything. it's more of a stay-at-home device, usually. after having it for a few years now, i've 'refined' my vaporizing habits a litte. i've realized that i like to use just enough to fill a decent bag (Reynolds-brand turkey bag for the oven). it's enough to cover the surface area of the screen with some light showing through. no matter how much weed you're going to be vaping, i think it tastes better to always have a green bowl. every hit is equal anyway. and i like it on 5 for the temperature gague (out of 9). the main benefits are kinda two-fold: it's healthier and you use less weed to get higher than you can with any other method. using the same amount of weed, compare how high you'd get vaporizing vs. smoking out of a glass spoon. it's incredibly efficient. that means a lot to a stoner ;-) alright, i realize i'm rambling a bit. the volcano was just a rumblin'...
I had a vape once and got rid of it. I just prefer blowing out a fat cloud of smoke. The taste of a vape is great tho. Mine wasn't a volcano, so that's prob y i didn't like it
