i've been having trouble interpreting this dream, if anyone could help me with it that would be amazing!!

ok, so it started out on a beach with people all around and the skies were black and the ocean was crazy with enormous waves and everyone was digging holes to hide in because we were anticipating a twister [i'm from NJ so a twister is never something i've had to deal with]

then my best friend found me and brought me to this random shack where there was a bathtub that she was hiding in with this huge mexican family so i joined in.. this whole time i keep thinking the twister is here now so i'm freaking out

then i close my eyes and open them to being in a hotel room with my mom and we're both in bed and she is sleeping [some background on me: i have no bedroom at home since i've moved out so when i visit i either sleep in my moms bed or on the couch] anyway, the twister FINALLY arrives and pulls the roof off teh hotel so we are exposed to it but it doesnt lift us it just kind of lingers above us for a few minutes

when it leaves i wake up my mom and tell her what happened and as if nothing happened my friends arrive and try to take me out to breakfast but i'm terrified of the twister. the skies are still black and i keep worrying but i go to breakfast anyway. it turns out that everywhere is locked so i sprint back to the hotel and once i got there i woke up

this is kind of a bizarre dream but if anyone could help me with it that would be so wonderful!!

Hi i_got_life22, thank you for coming and sharing your dream.

It's like in your dream the lid got lifted from the pot, yet what you are looking for still remains hidden.

So, maybe just try and stay with the tension of not knowing what it means and how it is to feel exposed to an unknown force; and just open to the dream still more and see what happens. It may or may not match with your waking life experience, however it may help you to tune into the mystery of who you are and how all things are intertwining once you look deeper into the pot.

And isn't 'waking' reality as strange - where things often appear locked, safe, forgotten, disconnected, or just as if nothing had happened and nothing had changed at all.

Imagine it is all about the awareness ... and in the middle of it all, you're just walking your road knowing your heart is going to take you on, not afraid and not worried.

Just a couple of thoughts !

turbulent waters can represent obstacles, threats, stress, etc in your life

you might want to look up the roof thing in a dream dictionary.. i remember reading about that and there are special meanings for it

How were you feeling during all these things that were happening in the dream? if it's in a stressed way and felt like all these things were happening fast and kinda randomly, maybe you feel like things are being scattered in your life. The twister is the main component in the dream, and can represent this scattering thing, and how you dealt with the twister when it actually ripped off the roof, you were kinda just motionless and still? I'd take that as the most important part. As for the mexican family in the bathtub, That seems like something that would be something in a dream interpretation website that represents social life with peers or being youthful or something similar, but a dream dictionary probably doesn't have "mexican family" in their database. lol
