well i live in the netherlands and weed is legal here...well i have a weed plant and its winter so most of it is dead but still has THC on it. well when i took some off i saw on the stick that there was some sort of grey stuff, and it looked like soft... could it like be THC or is it fungus feeding on the dead plant?
Sounds like fungus. Ive seen this "Gray" stuff many times on weed. Im not sure exactly what it is. I had weed that I had hidden in the woods that got this after a rain. Some people put orange peels in their bags of weed because it will make them triple in size for some reason, it takes dry bud and makes them fresh again. I know if you leave the orange peel in for too many days it will also get this gray kind of fuzz on it.
oh....but is it safe to smoke the weed then after it has dried...cos there might be fungus on the weed that ill smoke...?
people say its bad but in theory how is it? its not like burning fungus would create some sort of deadly chemical. and throat/lung infection? how is the fungus meant to survive after youve torched it with a flame?
Fungus spores can be very hard to destroy. They are meant to survive harsh conditions. If some survive the burning, they could end up in a nice warm, moist and dark habitat, AKA your lungs. Fungus heaven...
I don't know, that's the thing. I mean, since the whole thing doesn't burn at once, maybe you're inhaling spores off the rest of it when you inhale. or maybe they can. Either way, I wouldn't smoke moldy weed. Count it a loss and be done with it.
That's a definite possibility. The whole idea kinda creeps me out anyway. I don't want to be walking around one day and have somebody point out that there's mushies growin' out of my nose. That would suck.
