Hello Everyone, As it may or may not have been noticed, I have been considerably less active in the forums for awhile now. But as we all know this place is like crack cocaine. After a stint here as a teenager I disappeared only to stumble back upon the changed hipforums in 2005 in college and up all night mid week clicking on the internet. I fell back in love with forums and stayed active through my last stint in STL, my move back to Denver, completion of college, getting an office job and buying a house and then I began to drift. The reasons at the time are no longer important but here I am we'll see if it sticks again. So many of you I have missed, haven't been in touch with many of you. TheShow updates: 1. The last few months at my job have been insane. I'm in the construction insurance industry. about a third of my company left and started a competing agency. Good riddance, opportunity for me are abound. I just received a promotionfrom the servicing side of the industry to the production side. I was supposed to be in the production role starting on my own without a book a year ago but was constantly lied to and blocked by my former boss. With his departure I was given his book of clients, amassed over the last ten years and a dope office with a great mountain view. No more set hours, no more cubicle. Real money too. My point is work is great and after sucking up and bitching to my friends and family for awhile ti has all landed in my favor. 2. As some of you may know I have been chasing this great woman for the last year and a half. She's gorgeous, brilliant, athletic, loves to get down on some tunes. Its been rough traveling with her across country for music, living the life in Colorado trying trying and constantly taking 3 steps forward and 2.99 back. After living away for 6 months due to family tragedy she moved back around NYE. Things have been great and are finally moving forward in the direction I have been working on. Took awhile but I've won her over. Again a little persistence has paid off. 3. Music is my main social outlet as many of you know. After all i do live for the show. With String Cheese Incident on break for a while, i fell in love with Widespread Panic, much more so than ever before. Most of my time traveling for tunes in the last 2.5 years has been for panic. I'ms till seeing as much local tunes as possible of both regional variety and national tours. I should be headed to Myrtle Beach at the end of March for 3 nights by myself to have a lil fun. beginning of May I'm in Orange beach AL for a couple nights of WSP and time with the girl and Friends. I saw my first phish shows last summer. Fun but it was a tough weekend for me as I was dealing withsome thing I couldn't put aside during the shows. Will not travel too far for Phish at this point in my life. Maybe Telluride in August if that pans out However, I did get 2 cheese shows last year. And some coming up this summer.3 nights at my home venue, Red Rocks. Just a couple miles from where I am sitting drinking coffee getting high and typing this. The week after will be my first trip to Hornings Hideout. I can't wait! I love music but it all started for me with my first show in 2000. Music is my gateway drugs. 4. This is the stoner's lounge. Lets talk about dope baby. Medical marijuana has blown up to new levels in colorado the last few months. 600-1000 new card applicants daily, dispensaries everywhere. IN Denver proper, more dispensaries than Starbucks or liquor stores!!! Now I don' have my card, for reasons we can discuss later if anyone cares. But I do reap the benefits. I don't really sling anymore, but many of my buddies sell to dispensaries so I get the product from them at prices cheaper than the pot shops get it. Right now for THC I'm sitting on: Skunk No. 1 Wheelchair Blue Dream Pot of Gold ISS Purple Kush Honey Oil Lemon G Honey Oil Some Decent tincture I made I smoke my hoil on everything all the time. Its fantastic very high quality. My buddy makes his living off supplying to dispensaries. He owns a wholesale dispensary. He had his oil tested in town, 100% active THC. I still get down on the weekends with psychedelics as much as possible that won't change for awhile I hope. I drink moderately heavily during the week. I do know and love that Colorado is blowing up in the medical scene...........i've got an opportunity in ft. collins but don't know if im ready to commit to it, but they said if you ever change your mind you know where we are. you stash sounds awesome! gotta love honey oil, stuff is truly excellent to dip joints in or top off a bowl with! awesome.. glad shit is going well for ya chuck.. i dunno what my summer plans are looking like festivus wise.. i really wanna get back on the scene.. since i missed out last summer.. and get my new gf into the scene.. she's never been to a festie.. but i wanna move by the end of summer..so we'll see how fundage is looking
Missed ya man, and sorry I missed this thread Things sound like they are going great at the office and elsewhere. My friend will actually be at the Red Rocks show and is trying to get a ticket to Hornings as his brother is already going. My senior year of high school is steadily coming to an end, with actually only 47-48 days left. Still trying to decide between University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Colorado Denver. As long as I get the full financial package I expect then I should be going to Denver over my spring break (Easter weekend to be exact) for some scholarship banquet. I'm really unsure of which I'd rather go to, Chicago being closer, but Denver just sounds so much more like my scene. Chicago does have a better pharmacy school, though that doesn't really matter if I'm trying to be a retail pharmacist.
