Where can I get lye??

I am going to be using the lazy mans tek and the last thing I need is lye. I cannot find it anywhere other than the internet. I have tried home depot, loews, joan fabrics, marshalls, a specialty soap making shop. Where can I find this item that seems to be a rare commodity? I have seen manufacturers online but I would rather go to a store tomorrow and be done rather than hassle with ordering.. waiting for prossessing.. shipping.. etc.

Wait, a soap making shop did not have lye? aka sodium or potassium hydroxide?!

ask again, and maybe ask about some other soap making supplies as well,,,

Theres always the lye from wood ashes method if you get desperate enough.

if your in canada, canadian tire probably has it. canadian tire is a goldmine, only place ive ever found HCL and it was 4$ per gallon...
