It's hip, man. It started with the girl on girl thing and didn't stop there. The boy on boy thing is picking up much steam. I also think Antithises is correct.

 

Every year there will be more gay people just because of the fact that "being gay" is not a shame anymore. It has become a normal thing.
Here in my country I see gay people on the streets all the time, kissing, holding hands, etc. At the beginning was kinda weird because you never saw stuff like that before but now is normal.

Whatever makes people happy, I dont really care. Im married so, this is not an issue for me.
Now.... for single women this is a problem cause there's less good guys to pick from. hehe.

And by the way, here where I have my business.. at the back.. they rent small rooms with cable tv, hot water, air conditioning, etc. for single gays! so you can only imagine this.. sometimes im here with customers and i see like a bunch of them standing outside the window smoking and talking with each other.. is a lil gay-datepalooza every day! lol

i think the combination of reduced stigma and natural animal response to overpopulation is why. it's nature's way of saying everyone deserves love and happiness and why not avoid having more kids in the process?
