Answers appreciated!! Please don't use third party knowledge. I want YOUR thoughts. Answer what you can.

I am not in need of any of these answers, it's more of a survey to help me get to know you in regards to this drug. Psychoactive drugs like LSD have unwittingly taken a lot of my focus in the past few years, and what I never really got to do was question somebody the way I wanted to. So here, without cheating, answer these questions to the best of your ability

and without going to a help document, online, reading someones post or otherwise... please :D Just the noodle

Few questions for people who have or have not taken it-

    * What does LSD stand for?
    * What type of drug is LSD considered? By researchers? By your family? By your friends? By you?
    * What's the difference between acid and LSD?
    * How do you believe LSD effects the mind?
    * What is an ego 'to you'?
    * What were the initial research intentions with LSD once curious psychological effects were discovered? Name as many as you can.

If you have done the drug, here are more questions you can answer:

    * How often do you take LSD?
    * What is a bad trip exactly in your opinion?
    * What element of the bad trip makes the experience perceived as negative?
    * What exactly do you think happens, in regards to a bad trip, if it does?
    * If experienced, What significance does the "ego-loss" experience hold to you in your life?
    * Do you trip alone? Would you? Have you? Who do you trip with?
    * What do you consider an ideal setting to trip?
    * Do you use trip sitters?
    * Have you had a bad trip? If so, what was it like? What went wrong?
    * Define reality.

If you haven't done the drug.

    * Why haven't you?
    * Define reality.

Again no dictionaries (so if you can't define reality, try to :D), or third party knowledge. And thanks to all who help me by participating, I look forward to reading and maybe replying to any input. :cheers2:

    * Lsd stands for Lysergic acid diethlymide
*Lsd is god in bottle, it will show you the secrets to the universe, by researchers it is considered good in psychology and spirituality, by family its looked at as a "harmful drug", by friends its just a thing to lose your mind with
*Acid is another name for Lsd
*It interrupts your normal mind pattern to show you how the mind and consciousness work
*ego is the construct of an idenity made by the self
*what is a trip, what is this doing to my brain, what are these outer wordly feelings im feeling, how is this deal with spiritituality

*take lsd maybe a couple times a month, then wait a while, then another couple times
*a trip overtaken by fear, if you face your fears your will not have a bad trip
    *fear makes a trip bad
*fear of something, sometimes death or not being good enough
*losing ones ego is being set free from slavery, it is seeing directly what is
*Tripping alone is great, a lot more is learned in aloneness
*Either a beautiful outside scenery, woods, park, or a beach, or a nice cozy safe inside setting
*No need for trip sitter really
*I was scared I was gonna die and that life was pointless, but later i realized we are eternal
*Reality goes deeper then you ever think she did

Few questions for people who have or have not taken it-

    * Lysergic Acid diethylmide-25
    * Psychedelic by just about everyone
    * They're the same
    * Alters perception greatly
    * One's not physical reality
    * I've never gone into a trip with anything specifically planned

If you have done the drug, here are more questions you can answer:

    * In my life about 40 times
    * A bad trip is many things, what's common though is reality and yourself just become extremely uncomfortable
    * The anxiety and fear seem to draw out forever because of acid's effect on time perception
    * Fear, anxiety, panic, ect parts of the brain actually begin going off, this I know of scientific fact.
    * It's hard to explain, but I mean, try contemplating existence not existing while on acid.
    * I prefer alone, but people are fine.
    * Anywhere as long as it isn't really cold.
    * No, trip sitters are terrible
    * Yes, numerous, most fall under the rule of thumb you shouldn't take acid when you're unhappy, but outside circumstances such as being really fuckin cold or cops showing up also happened.
    * Reality is how you perceive the physical universe around you. Reality is subjective

    *lysergic acid diethylmide
    *hallucinogen across the board
    *none
*i believe it enables the mind to think in a different way and expands the mind
*i believe ego is the recognizing of self in society
    *discovery
*it allows me to be more myself with less regard to societal opinion
    *
*depends, sometimes 6-7 times in a month other months zero times
    * i believe a bad trip is when one is experiencing death but does not know how to handle death at that moment in their life
    *long lasting irrational fears
*same as stated above, experience of death and dieing
*i love tripping alone or with anyone really as long as their not ignorant or closed minded
*woods, home, friends house. woods preferably.
    *not once
*yes i experienced death and rebirth in the end of the trip. i believe it happened because at that stage in my life i could not accept the death of my ego or self.
*reality is what you perceive it to be

Few questions for people who have or have not taken it-

    * What does LSD stand for? Lysercig Acid Dylithimide-25 (didn't look it up, I knew it for a while :p )

    * What type of drug is LSD considered?
    By researchers? A hallucinogen
By your family? My parents have both done it, but have never really gone into their personal opinions.
By your friends? A great way to spend a day
By you? The image of beauty

    * What's the difference between acid and LSD? I guess Acid is what people call street shit, and LSD is pure.

    * How do you believe LSD effects the mind? Makes you think wrong. A great way to alter perception and see things in a fresh new way.

    * What is an ego 'to you'? The part of you made in reaction to exterior influences. Every part of your personality that is not your Root Self, which is the word I use for what many would consider a Soul

    * What were the initial research intentions with LSD once curious psychological effects were discovered? Name as many as you can.

If you have done the drug, here are more questions you can answer:

    * How often do you take LSD? Only 3 times in my life.

    * What is a bad trip exactly in your opinion? I like what most people call 'bad trips' so I have never had one. I like the opportunity to realize and understand my darkness and the darkness of the world. I don't want to hide from terrible things, I want to understand them so I can overcome.

But I suppose a "bad trip" for me would be if I had to witness something horrific or be in real danger while tripping. (seeing a murder or being arrested)

    * What element of the bad trip makes the experience perceived as negative? I explained this in the last question.

    * What exactly do you think happens, in regards to a bad trip, if it does?
Fear reaction, it's natural. But I am not afraid of what acid has to offer. My fears lie elsewhere.

    * If experienced, What significance does the "ego-loss" experience hold to you in your life?
Something vital if I am going to grow as a human being.

    * Do you trip alone? Would you? Have you? Who do you trip with?
Yes. Half the time, only other person I tripped with is the friend who 'turned me on'

    * What do you consider an ideal setting to trip?
Any place where the beauty of nature is abundant. Or with a beautiful woman I have a deep connection with.

    * Do you use trip sitters?
No. I've never tripped hard enough where I felt I might loose control.

    * Have you had a bad trip? If so, what was it like? What went wrong?
No. I've felt fear, but I don't feel the same way about fear as most. Fear is something I take great pride in overcoming.

    * Define reality.
Perception. Maybe mass hysteria. Fuck if I know.

When I'm dead I'll either understand it or I wont care either way.

Yes exactly! If you face your fears they no longer have any power. It only has power when you try to run from it, as if it were bigger than you. If you accept fear, in that acceptance, fear vanishes. Live life with the awareness that you are one with everything, there is only one, and why would the self hurt the self. Live with awareness that you god, how is one to hurt god, it cannot be done. Live as your true self, not on the periphery, live without fear!

Facing your fears is actually probably the easiest way to end a bad trip. Doing things while tripping that you assumed would be terrifying sober is also great as you lose any fear of what might happen when tripping, you learn to have near total control over the trip.

Few questions for people who have or have not taken it-

    * What does LSD stand for? lysergic acid diethlymide
    * What type of drug is LSD considered? By researchers? By your family? By your friends? By you? hallucinogen. ancient history. good clean fun.
    * What's the difference between acid and LSD? acid is slang.
    * How do you believe LSD effects the mind? it opens up the floodgates of perception, allowing you a deeper experience of "reality"
    * What is an ego 'to you'? illusion
    * What were the initial research intentions with LSD once curious psychological effects were discovered? Name as many as you can. psychotomimetic (sp?), truth serum/mind control, psychiatry, therapy for PTSD, alcoholism, schizophrenia, various neuroses...., effects on creativity

If you have done the drug, here are more questions you can answer:

    * How often do you take LSD? - last time... 9 months give or take. before that about a year, before that a dozen experiences over maybe 2-3 years
    * What is a bad trip exactly in your opinion? - a difficult experience
    * What element of the bad trip makes the experience perceived as negative? - fear
    * What exactly do you think happens, in regards to a bad trip, if it does? - see above
    * If experienced, What significance does the "ego-loss" experience hold to you in your life? - experience of unity
    * Do you trip alone? Would you? Have you? Who do you trip with? yes. everyone.
    * What do you consider an ideal setting to trip? anywhere.. but ideally i suppose either isolation tank, traveling, or at festivals
    * Do you use trip sitters?- not in the traditional sense
    * Have you had a bad trip? If so, what was it like? What went wrong? - yes. i was overwhelmed and resistant.
    * Define reality. - haaaaa. :p the tao that can be spoken is not the eternal tao maybe?

    * What does LSD stand for? Lysergic acid diethlymide
    * What type of drug is LSD considered? By researchers? By your family? By your friends? By you? uh... a hallucinogen? Some of my friends think it's dangerous because they're dumb... it gives me new perspectives on life
    * What's the difference between acid and LSD? what?
    * How do you believe LSD effects the mind? makes you see things differently, opens your mind to different interpretations of things you take for granted
    * What is an ego 'to you'? uh... thats the one that tells you what you should do, right? (id, ego, superego). or maybe its the balance between the two? i dont remember psychology.
    * What were the initial research intentions with LSD once curious psychological effects were discovered? Name as many as you can. no idea

If you have done the drug, here are more questions you can answer:

    * How often do you take LSD? i've taken it twice, first time was around 3 or 4 months ago
    * What is a bad trip exactly in your opinion? Ive never had a bad trip or even any time I felt uncomfortable on LSD, which makes me feel like it would be really hard to have a bad trip... but to me its that feeling of hopelessness, that you're all alone, no one understands you, everything is dark and sinister, you feel like you're dying (i've had bad trips on other drugs before)
    * What element of the bad trip makes the experience perceived as negative? I guess it could be the setting, and your mind, like if you think that youre in a bad place that'll just encourage it... as opposed to thinking the opposite and tricking yourself to believe you're in a better place until it works.
    * What exactly do you think happens, in regards to a bad trip, if it does? I guess your mind goes into a bad place
    * If experienced, What significance does the "ego-loss" experience hold to you in your life? what?
    * Do you trip alone? Would you? Have you? Who do you trip with? I tripped with a friend once and alone once. I really enjoyed tripping with my friend, it was a nice bonding experience and we both had a great time. It was very interesting tripping alone, and I definitely want to try it again with a higher dose.
    * What do you consider an ideal setting to trip? Anywhere you are comfortable. familiar places would probably be good too. I liked being somewhere I knew so well (my school) because i could interpret it in so many different ways and see things that I see every day in a totally different perspective.
    * Do you use trip sitters? with acid? nah.
    * Have you had a bad trip? If so, what was it like? What went wrong? not with acid.
    * Define reality. Its how you interpret it... whats real to one person might not be real to someone else. when you are on a trip, i guess in a way its still reality, because its still happening... it's not a dream.

    * What does LSD stand for?
LySergic aciD I think... firefox tells me I've spelled it all wrong edit: and left out an entire word LOL

    * What type of drug is LSD considered? By researchers? By your family? By your friends? By you?
A psychedelic drug, which i learned means it "conjures the mind"

    * What's the difference between acid and LSD?
"a rose by any other name smells just as sweet" or however that goes.. one street name vs another.

    * How do you believe LSD effects the mind?
by modifying brain chemicals or something.. I mean, I'm not a neurologist, I don't know exactly what it's doing up there, but it's doin somethin (and I like it)

    * What is an ego 'to you'?
my conscious self.. the "I" in "I think, therefor I am"

    * What were the initial research intentions with LSD once curious psychological effects were discovered? Name as many as you can.
truth serum, mind control and shit like that.. that darn CIA/US military..

If you have done the drug, here are more questions you can answer:

    * How often do you take LSD?
    not often enough..

    * What is a bad trip exactly in your opinion?
When you aren't having fun. Never happened to me. Sounds awful :(

    * What element of the bad trip makes the experience perceived as negative?
I'm just guessing, but I think it's the loss of control for people who can't stand not being in control. For me, I've never tripped and not been in control. Maybe I just haven't taken a big enough dose.

    * What exactly do you think happens, in regards to a bad trip, if it does?
    see above

    * If experienced, What significance does the "ego-loss" experience hold to you in your life?
    haven't experienced. Would like to.

    * Do you trip alone? Would you? Have you? Who do you trip with?
I have. I enjoyed it. I've tripped with others, and tripped around others who were not tripping, enjoyed both as well but I think I prefer tripping alone. By myself among a crowd of strangers counts as alone for me.

    * What do you consider an ideal setting to trip?
I've enjoyed trips with lots of external stimuli, and enjoyed trips alone in my room with very little other than myself and my computer. My ideal trip setting would be in a sensory deprivation chamber, but i don't want to disservice tripping somewhere with sensory overload, like a rave or amusement park either.. I'd enjoy both, just for different reasons.

    * Do you use trip sitters?
nope. I get mildly annoyed at people who try to guide me through a trip or remind me of reality. I need no such help. However, I do appreciate the effort. it shows they care.

    * Have you had a bad trip? If so, what was it like? What went wrong?
    never

    * Define reality.
Well, there is the actual universe and then there is the illusions that our senses present to us. Our senses are limited. There's only so much information they can take in at once.

reality is the whole thing. It's big. More knowledgeable people than me would have to admit that even they cannot describe it in its entirety.

    hope I've helped :)

Few questions for people who have or have not taken it-

    * What does LSD stand for?
lysergic acid (didnt understand the question so looked down) lol

    * What type of drug is LSD considered? By researchers? By your family? By your friends? By you?
Hallucinogenic. Same. Just a drug. Kinda hard drug but less than coke. Less dangerous than weed.

    * What's the difference between acid and LSD?
Acid is the street name of LSD, if that is what ur asking.

    * How do you believe LSD effects the mind?
Chemically? No idea. In the way you think, i think it opens your mind, and helps you to understand things better, it puts you in a place where you look at things with no personal interest, just look at them like they are, it frees your mind from the chains you and society has put on it.

    * What is an ego 'to you'?
    im the best. im jesus.

    * What were the initial research intentions with LSD once curious psychological effects were discovered? Name as many as you can.
To use it to cure mental illness, also it was tought that u tell the truth when your on lsd, so the us goverment used to get information from enemies. It was used also to upgrade your life in terms of happines and shit.

If you have done the drug, here are more questions you can answer:

    * How often do you take LSD?
I would say 3 months. I dont do it that much anyways, yet. :p

    * What is a bad trip exactly in your opinion?
Never had one. But i think its when you have a problem big enough to break your peace shield.

    * What element of the bad trip makes the experience perceived as negative?
    Sadness and fear.

    * What exactly do you think happens, in regards to a bad trip, if it does?
    it happens you get stuck.

    * If experienced, What significance does the "ego-loss" experience hold to you in your life?
    not experienced.

    * Do you trip alone? Would you? Have you? Who do you trip with?
Never tripped alone. I would but im not that experienced yet. No. Friends.

    * What do you consider an ideal setting to trip?
A house in what you could call a farm. I know this place but never had the chance to trip there, anyways im sure ill do it.

    * Do you use trip sitters?
    yea.

    * Have you had a bad trip? If so, what was it like? What went wrong?
    Never.

    * Define reality.
tu mente la unica barrera, y la realidad .... el unico problema.

Nice, I really like some of the similarities and differences in the more digging questions, thanks. Any one else?

Nah, just curious in seeing how some see LSD in terms of their own lives and how they interpret information.
