I am looking for some day trips when I am in Amsterdam. Hiking, Castles, anything good to do for a day trip. We are three guys that like the outdoors. Any suggestions?
Castles.. we have a few of them but they're not the cool middleages kinda things.. so I'd forget about that. If you like the outdoors then you might want to go to the seasides (it's not too far by train) or rent a bike and just go up north, there are pretty cute villages up there and you'll get some fresh air as well. Hm.. what else.. kinda depends where you're coming from and what you're used to I think.. can you be more specific?
sorry i have been mad busy and forgot i had posted. now i am slowing down and plan to be here more regularly. Ok, here is what I'm talking about. I am coming to Amsterdam with two great friends...we take trips once a year (Vegas, New Orleans, Niagara, etc) This is our first over seas trip. Although we tend to hit "touristy" spots, we like to take a day and go native...or at least get away from our getaway. We love biking and hiking...being adventurous. We are all 33 and wild guys who like anything new or even not new but interesting. Touring sex dungeons could be fun for us... We love good food and love getting wild at the same time like long day hikes that are quiet and surrounded by nature. I had heard about some medieval castles or something, not sure. I know it will be Tulip season when we are there so that sounds fun, too. (March 24 - 28th we will be there) A bike tour sounds like alot of fun...what types of things could we do on a bike? thanks
