Statewide Insurance Services has started issuing the first nationwide medical marijuana insurance coverage. Other companies have already started up in California to offer coverage to mmj dispensaries which are legal under California law.

But this is the first company to offer coverage in all 50 states as the company believes medical marijuana will be available soon in all the states. They will cover all aspects of insurance from the growers to the dispensaries to the consumer.

This is a very good sign because the more big business becomes dependent upon the cannabis community for its livelihood, the more likely marijuana will become decriminalized or legalized across the country.

    Bullshit

    100% agreed

My mother was going home one day years back. She was living back in the bush at the time and the road to the place was narrow. It was the middle of winter, and the plow out there, makes the road barely (just) big enough for two trucks to pass.

She comes over the crest of a little rise (that you can see the other side of), on her side of the road.

What does she see? A garbage truck, one of the ones that has the forks to dump a dumpster. With a dumpster on the forks, blocking all the lights and the bottom half of the windshield in the middle of the road...

Next thing she knows she is waking up with half her face ripped off (it was sewn back on, but you can tell it isn't quite 'right'), her eyeball was dangling on her check, her head was split open. According to the first person on the scene (the local funeral director of all people), you could see her brain.... She also smashed numerous bones starting in her foot (something like a dozen bones broke there, the leg in a few spots, her back arm and neck were also fucked up pretty bad.

She had insurance... so did the garbage truck...

Years of rehab, regaining her memories and skills just to regain a semblance of her life back...

The insurance companies FOUGHT HER every step of the way.

They treated her like complete shit and hired people to find ways to show that she wasn't hurt... After spending thousands and thousands of dollars over many many years to an insurance company... when she needed it, they did everything in their power to fuck her...

They spent more on lawyers fighting it, then she was eventually rewarded which did not ever cover all the bills that she ended up having over it all.

If you don't have insurance, you get charged and fined $6000... If you do have insurance, they do everything in their power to not give you a dime, regardless of how much money you paid into them...

It is 100% a crooked industry, and all those in it should be charged as criminals and the industry shut down.
