One of me sources of inspiration is Anathem's album: a fine day to exit. There are also the books of Jean Paul Sartre and Amélie Nothomb .
oopsie, only just seen this thread, and i've replied elsewhere just a moment ago.......... and i agree with the poster above ^
Also, alcohol, pot, painkillers, etc. I (somewhat) hate to say it but man, those things brought out my best work.
