Do you think HF is going to be around in 50 years? probably. Do you think this site will evolve, start getting more and more users, and this will turn into a whole new thing like myspace or something? Probably won't ever be that popular but I have a feeling it will get crazy.
hellz no. but it'll probably be around in 50 years in some way cuz we probably wont be on internet browsers like we are now. do the forums really grow over time? i would think that people leave after a while and its kinda like a cycle.
nah, as new forum members come others go, it's a good size right now though. Like another forum I'm at has 6,246 registered users online right now, hip forums has 194. Both forums are great in their own way, the other one is filled with mad traffic and shit to read, any if you post a thread it'll get mad traffic. Can't build up the same community as like here though. I mean you do over in the other place, but's around specific megathreads/sub forums
I have bomb drugs here too, they are just more illegal. the appeal of SC and cali to me is mainly the tolerance and openness. but either way, gimme dem drugz
Most likely the Hip Forums will be around for another many years I hope, in 50 years there may be browsers implanted into our eyes like contact lenses, either way, I will be dead in 50 years, so time will tell. I like it here small community , it once seemed more active and larger, but then came all the competition. I plan to be a hip forums supporter and make my donation when I get my check so if it is to remain and last it will most likely be by those who continue to donate to make it remain. Long live the Hip Forums...
Yeah I will donate for sho when I get some more money. And yeah deviate cali is chill like that, you can just smoke right out in the open pretty much, but cops are still cops.
pigs are always pigs. the difference is you have the community support and the legislation on YOUR side. don't take that for granted. be responsible with it, and thankful
i've seen elementary school kids tokin it up in the open. i woulda gone over to them and scare them, or ask for a hit but i was trippin too hard i got lost trying to get out of the playground.
Yeah true lol. Thanks for reminding me. I am so thankful I have been in SC my whole life and its amazing, but the people can be pretty crazy.
it's the somethingawful forum http://forums.somethingawful.com/ Just take a quick look to see the amount of traffic going in. You can't see it if you're not a member(and maybe a few other ones) but below "the firing range" there's a great drug forum called the crackhead clubhouse. and to think, everyone there actually paid $10 to post on that shit actually they probate people and sometimes ban people for making terrible posts(i.e. the leper's colony in those top buttons) and if you get banned, it's not being "banned", you can rejoin once you pay $10 again. Though there is "perma-banned" where you're never allowed to join again. You can a person's "rap sheet" for their probations and bans, and some people have literally paid like $140 to keep posting on this forum, like they do shit they know will get them banned to just come back 4 hours later http://forums.somethingawful.com/banlist.php?userid=154660 actually if you can see it there's my rap sheet, it's funny when i get probated it's like "aw, real life is turning into my forum too" haha
Hahah yeah that forum sucks compared to this one. Thats intense you can pay to get your ban lifted?? What if you could do that here that would be killer.
haha, there's a reason they charge though, the bandwith costs are literally thousands of dollars a month. They're actually a registered company to deal with it all. But 138,000 people have registered at least once, that's near 1.4 million. we have less actual moderation here, i remember some years ago when someone mentioned getting an active moderator for the stoner's lounge my response was "wait, what, we have mods?" like to get banned here you have to be a real fucking dick, same thing there though, normally they just probate you anywhere from 6 hours to a month.
