I live in canada and had to do 15 hours of graffiti removal after getting arrested for tagging. they'll arrest you here too.

 

Yea, he specifically wouldn't get arrested probably since he's 17, but even a marker is vandalism, i.e., an arrestable offense, you'd be arrested for that in the good deal of places, especially in cities that have been trying to clean themselves up since the 90's.

 

it's not the same as the US.. similar but very different governments and social structure. especially when it comes to urban culture. and just because you smoke more weed openly and care free, doesn't mean you smoke more weed. the US is the land of excess, believe me we burn a lot of herbs

 

not to mention a lot more likely to get your ass beat by the police, and/or shot, stabbed, or otherwise fucked up for crossing someone out

 

Lol at you guys thinking were soft up here, I've had friends murdered, friend who HAVE murdered (no longer friends anymore obviously), have personally been beaten by cops (they let me walk when I started bleeding and didnt arrest me) and seen/heard of people get beaten for crossing people (including my friend). My cousin was shot dead 3 years ago over weed, my moms friend is in a coma now for getting a baseball bat to the head. my dads been shot......its not nice in toronto at all..

also not that its worth anything but anytime ive visited the US or talked to family in the US, they say my life in toronto is alot sketchier I guess.

ps: I'm not "bragging", just trying to point out that southern ontario really is NOTHING like anywhere else in canada, we don't even have accents here.

i painted for like 3 years on and off, only painted, and i met some of the craziest painters ive ever seen while snapping pictures for a website i used to have

those people do not tag convenience stores.

 

I'm not those people. I'll write on anything people can see as long as it isn't somones house/car/fence or anything like that.

I'll write on any store though. If I'm just throwin' up a tag I'll put it on virtually anything... Inside a bus, street signs, i hardly bother with mailboxes anymore.....

But if I'm doing a piece I make sure it's a nice ol' blank wall for me.
