I coulda swore hinduism had a word for this. But I can't remember it, does anyone know what it is?

The word for the sacred dimension, hyperspace, the world of pure energy that exists behind the illusion.

To my knowledge there are a couple of words for the ultimate reality: Moksha (Liberation) Nirvana (Enlighenment)

in my tradition we call it goloka vrndavana :)

terms denoting the spiritual world are many; devaloka (world of gods), divyaloka (shimmering world), vaikuntha (place with no anxiety), swarga loka, etc

We have thousands of words for it, but then finally Hinduism also says that it is beyond all words and names.

By the way Swarga/devaloka and all those are considered higher planes, but not the ultimate reality.

i was responding to the original poster who did not mention or ask for a translation of the ultimate reality you speak of, but rather they asked for the hindu word (i assume they meant the sanskrit word) for sacred dimension, to which i responded correctly :) i.e. goloka vrndavana, vaikuntha, devaloka etc. again, i specified according to my particular tradition these are the sanskrit words for sacred dimension / higher planes / heavenly abode.

    :)

if they were asking for a word for ultimate reality i would have responded thusly; brahman, parabrahman, or saguna brahman, this of course varies according to your traditions views of what constitutes the ultimate reality.

    be well :)

Svarga/devaloka/brahmaloka/pitrloka etc are not considered the "the world of pure energy that exists behind the illusion."
They are just more fun places within the illusion.

Of course Vaikuntha/Goloka/Saaketa etc is a different story.
