soft blankets and if you consider that not being naked... then i guess you could meditate and make your self warm or something... oh god, what am i even saying here? there is lots of things... you could exercise, or bake, or take a hot shower or bath, or masturbate, or have good sex .. but whenever im cold i just start rolling and workin on my dreads
Internal heat generation. Eat food - body burns this to create core body heat. You now have energy to move. Exercise (yoga is good). The mind can do a lot. I walk in the snow naked and I imagine the snow as a warm marshmallow so I feel warm. If you think you will be cold you probably will be. <<Naturist and yoga teacher.>>
Actually, they say you can stay warmer in bed when totally nude with the right blankets. The heat transfers more efficiently or something. Can't really explain it but it sounds good enough to me. And it's a lot more comfortable without all the stuff bunching up.
I stay warm and snug under a 3-blanket equivalent duck down doona. Same when I am bushwalking/camping; a –5 degrees celsius bag is all I need, but may need a thermal top in alpine regions as autumn advances, and definitely a bit more to wear at night when camping in winter. But otherwise at home, just the doona. Around studio, if it is cool (it isn't today: currently 21deg. inside) I might have my artist shirt on (long sleeves, pockets galore for gadgets), but nothing else.
if I eat anymore...I'll light on fire! hehehe I just moved to a place were snow doesn't exist! (I'm still in canada though)
I have just been boosting my energy reserves by popping little capsules of energy reserves known as pumpkin seeds. Eat the right type of food for energy not gluttony!!! The food taken in should balance the energy expelled by exercise with a small reserve for keeping you warm. Imbalance is just layered as fat which is no good. Fat may keep you insulated but the downside is it makes you lethargic. I am sure you were aware that I was referring to being hungry can make you cold; you should always be satiated (nice word!)
Well, You could get your significant other and do some body friction. You could grab a nice bottle of Scotch. :cheers2: You could build a fire. You could turn up the thermostat, LOL. You could grab a blanket, but then you wouldn't be naked. Your could sun yourself. You could jump in a hot tub. Others?
I think going naked is not a dogma, so i don't take it as a fail to put something on if i feel uncomfortable. But of course there are some helpful things to stand cold too: - snuggle with someone ;-) - use a light fleece blanket - stay in motion, running, doing sports etc. - look out for spots sheltered from the wind (like a hollow in the dunes for sunbathing) - look ot for sun-shone places - at home, i think it's no shame to turn on the heating Some time ago, i read a discussion in a naked hiking group about cold prevention by rubbing oneself with Vaseline. I guess the idea was that the ointment should inhibit wind chill effects and evaporation. I don't know if it works, and i wouldn't like to seal my whole skin with a mineral oil product anyway. Probably it's a question of inurement and attitude too. I guess you can stand cold longer if you take it as a challange. And maybe it's a question of personal fitness and condition too. My ex bf could go naked outside even on days i was happy to have my jacket in reach ;-) take care.
