ive gone barefoot for 4 years. and the other day i put socks on. and my feet started glowing (pic below) my legs, my body, my hands, every part of me started glowing!! it was amazing. socks are awesome
one of the best sides of barefooting is that i have no longer smelly socks around . no matter how good shoes are, no matter if I washed my feet with caustic soda before , unless I fill shoes with foot powder (which just delays the problem) my socks will start to stink like corpses in less than 2 hours, all year round. when i was a hardcore shoddie I even got cuts between my toes and massive skin decay which awarded me with a smell that reminded me of a mark twain short story about a train journey with a bag full of cheese in the middle of summer. I think I was about to get trench foot. so fuck the god damned socks.
So you got through 4 solid years, no interruptions, bare foot? Then came to this discovery? I'm trying to make sure I understand Working outside in Maine, I have to do socks with at least low cut hiking shoes; I eschew the tall knee hi rubber boots most men wear. When the snow's going to be that deep, I add snowshoes to my above named footwear. I look at socks as something I put up with in our climate, not as a joy. At the end of the day, off they go, usually soaking wet, and the hiking shoes next to the heater in the truck. I'll drive bare, and if I have any errands, it's either dry low cut hikers with fresh socks again, or hiking sandals. A few here may remember me as one of the ones who does it all in shorts, except in our most extreme cold, and I curtail my outdoor activity then anyway.
Bah, I think you're just stocking our members and then spinning a yarn - that really ankles me. Now stop being a heel and toe the line or it'll be the end of this darned thread.
