Well thats y they are mean cause people don't like them. Then by being mean, they make other people mean and spread the anger.

Agreed, don't like mean people whether mean to mean or someone else.

 

I think mean people get a pass if they are extra witty or clever.

Nice does not in any way make up for boring.

People are mean for a reason.
They're usually in pain.
"I don't like mean people" kind of just adds to it.

 

I don't like people being mean to me, but there is something more to 'mean people'.

It depends on how mean is used. Sometimes mean is a valid tool used to excerpt your will upon somebody who deserves it. To run around being mean just because you are like a 4 year old who never got his way is just bullshit.

I am not going to lie, I don't like mean people- but I don't like overly happy people either.

I say this because people are mentioning meaner people having 'deeper things' going on about themselves, where as I feel this is true- however overly happy people strike me as a case of still waters running deep. In fact it is these people in my experience who have shown a really, really nasty side, albeit not often.

I like people who are both mean and nasty, who meet a fine equilibrium. I like to consider myself a lovable bastard

 

I have found that overly nice can be a cover for some nasty shit hidden up in there. Of course the same goes with overly mean people. Just one is hiding more than the other.

 

I do not per definition dislike every mean person, no.

Without our flaws, and our nasties- we would never develop the nicer side that people know and love us for I think.
