I picked up Mass Effect 2 a while ago, but was waiting to finish DA first. I love Mass Effect, but generally prefer fantasy setting to sci-fi. I haven't really cared much for any RPG(beyond Mass Effect 1) in a really long time; but DA blew me away.
Dragon Age is brilliant. I haven't played in a while because I feel like I'm wasting my time. But as RPGs go... wow.
Mass Effect 2 is awesome but they took out so much customization and i am such a sucker for items
You might be on to something but for god's sake develop the game before some one else does!!! GO,GO,GO Start Developing it now!!!
I dunno...the combat felt about the same, the characters in DA had significantly more depth, the world had less locations but just as strong a mythos - which is impressive considering Baldur's Gate had all that D&D lore behind it and DA started from scratch, the equipment/leveling panned out about the same, and the AI in DA was definitely improved. I loved Baldur's Gate, both the PC and later PS2 incarnations...but DA impressed me much more.
Not really into rpg's, really was into morrowind tho that game was the best. I wnna get into fallout 3 too but I have a short attention span so its hard.
Don't get me wrong. DA is a good game and all but there are times that it feels commercialized and the overall atmosphere seems to have less depth than what BG had. I do realize though that they had to start from scratch since they were restricted due to the copy writes and whatnot, but you do have a point that it's impressive considering their hands were tied in that way... I did enjoy the mythos and that part of it stayed true as much as they can and that was real nice. I just dunno, I guess BG has a bit nostalgia to it, but I felt that it has overall better character and a more complex story line to me Overall, I just expected more To each their own
