I smoked salvia IN MY DREAMS and tripped...

The craziest fuckin thing happened to me an hour ago. I had to join this forum to share my experience.

Before I start let me give you a background on the psychedelics I've had before:
cannabis, shrooms and salvia. That's it. My trips with salvia were very mild.. salvia gravity, dream like state, dream like imagery, the feeling like there's people around you talking. This was from a 10x with one huge hit, sometimes 2.

Anyway, I slept for 7 hours last night, got up and was still feeling drowsy so i went back to sleep. I started to dream that I was with my buddy and I was going to smoke salvia. I took one hit and let my buddy fill the bong again while I held in the smoke. I took the second hit and I closed my eyes.

Now this is where it gets fuckin insane. Remember this all happened in a dream. As I was dreaming that I was holding in the second hit with eyes closed, all of a sudden I got the notion that I was about to enter an extremely intense salvia trip. Then my whole body felt like it was vibrating and rocking like an earthquake which really startled me(If this was happening to my real body, I don't know)Then I heard weird kinds of buzzing sounds and saw this really weird geometric pattern.. except it was nothing like the ones people describe in trips. It's hard to explain, but it was like a big blob except it had rectangular patterns all over it. Can't remember if it had colors. The mind blowing part about it was that during this experience it felt like I was getting sucked out of my body like a vacuum. It really felt like I was leaving my physical body. Then I woke up. This happened probably in a few seconds.

I have never felt anything like this before. All my past experiences with psychedelics were mild and childsplay compared to what I just experienced in my dream.

Do you guys think because of me dreaming about smoking salvia, that maybe more DMT was released in my brain which triggered this effect? It really felt like a DMT experience as people describe them, except i wasn't really going through a tunnel, but just getting sucked right into this geometric pattern.

Man do I want to do DMT though. Anyone else had any similar experiences?

 

iv smoked salvia in dream as well (2 times that i can remember). i myself take these dreams seriously and hold them close. the first time i smoked salvia in dream i remember being met by a female presence who seemed to embody the essence of the plant. she was behind a door and i went to open it and was flooded by salvia sensasions. she told me that this (salvia) was nothing to fear, but it was somthing to be weary of. her tone was like that of a strict mother-type teacher making sure her student knows that this classroom is not to be taken lightly.

iv had countless ayahuasca dreams over the years as well, many of them re-occuring nightly over a period of months. they are vivid and often i feel like im being energetically worked on and readjusted, by a celestial presence just above my head. these ones are quite different and unique from my salvia ones but the teacher element is there as well.

also have a mushroom dream before, that one felt more alien and strange.

i tend to think that dreaming the plants is a good sign about how your using them

i personally dont think a release in dmt during sleep is the catalyst.

 

Interesting stuff.. I've only smoked salvia like 4 times, and in one of them I felt a female presence.. She did not speak but had a calm but serious demeanor as she walked by me and sat down.

But man.. that feeling in the dream was so freaking intense.. I wish I could have experienced it longer.

 

I have had similar dreams, but with marijuana.
These dreams occurred about eight months after i last smoked marijuana.
It was almost as if I had not experienced marijuana to its full potential and my mind was persuading me to give it another try. Since then I have smoked marijuana several times and every experience has been very intense, and quite spiritual.

When I dreamed about being high, it usually took place in a poor environment with familiar people. I usually began to feel nauseas and paranoid then i would eventually faint and wake up disturbed from my dream.

The reason for my quitting was the recreational use, paranoia, and poor mindset about the drug. I did not recognize the potential of the substance and used it improperly.

Marijuana now acts as a spiritual drug for me, and my most profound experiences have taken place under the influence of marijuana.

It seems that your dreams are reminding you of the incredible potential of salvia and that you should explore the substance more.

 

Yeah I have done a bunch of drugs in my dreams. The best was my LSD dream of course. I have dreamed of smoking weed alot, smoked salvia, did coke, smoked meth, mabey did pcp too.

 

Have you tried all of the drugs that you mentioned?

 

no I haven't done meth or pcp, mabey pcp some day but not meth. I actually did coke in my dream before I did it in real life, the funny thing is, the real experience was just like how it was in my dream. I think that's how it was with LSD too, but when I did coke in my dream it was just like the real thing.

 

The mind is capable of any experience. Drugs help us unlock the potential of the mind.

 

woah...i thought i was alone. I have dreamt that i tripped on DMT, LSD and Salvia. In the dream i actually experience a true trip. I have spoken with some friends who use psycadelics like myself and they all though i was lieing...nice to know im not crazy after all.

Agreed. It's like my mind is preparing me for what I can truly experience. Because so far I haven't had a 'breakthrough' experience from salvia. At least now I have much greater confidence in trying a higher extract.

Did you have a dream that you tripped on all of them? Or one dream for each of those psychedelics? Have you had a salvia trip where you were sucked out of your physical body?

i never experienced a breakthrough of that nature on salvia...however on DMT? i had the most out of body experience i could of imagened at the time. Felt like i entered a spirit world and as i looked back i saw my body laying on my bed and this is where i met an native amarican elder named anawat (i explain him in a different thread of mine) since that wonderful day i can speak with this elder 99% of the time when im tripping and occasionaly when im not tripping at all. Anawat taught and is teaching me many different things ranging from life to death and everything inbetween. This breakthrough happened to me the first time i tryed DMT. and awesumly enough DMT was the first psycedelic i ever did.

Ive had dreams similar to this, the most recent one i can really remember I was tripping on mushrooms in my front lawn that coincidentally was no longer grass but hundreds and hundreds of mushrooms. I just started munching them down and i remember looking across the street (where there is normally a cornfield when it is in season) and the field was full of 10 foot pot plants.. i remember running through the field and then running back and seeing my dog chewing on a massive joint like a chew toy (think the giant cannabis cup joint). I noticed that this dream occurred after i had been keeping track of my dreams in a dream log for a couple months.. maybe why it was so vivid and i can remember it so well.

As for salvia i have never dreamt like how you explain but the first i smoked it was def the strongest out of my multiple experiences with it. It seemed as if the world was shattered and i was looking through the eyes of a broken mirror, if that makes sense. Kinda like a fly sees, it was just repeated images filling my sight, as if my entire field of vision was pushed to the corner of my eye and multiplied.

Although that salvia experience was not a dream i think it can kindve relate to what you say... it felt close to an outer body experience but not quite if you know what i mean...

Imo since you say your salvia trips were mild perhaps your subconscious is trying to tell you that you did not experience the full effect of this magical plant and it has more to teach you...
I know personally i wont do the stuff anymore, makes me feel quite uneasy and clammy should i say with lack of a better word? hah but then i feel as if i reached the most desired effect possible which i didnt find very desirable.

 

I've smoked weed in my dreams plenty of times, and while sleeping have a very euphoric experience. Haha.. actually, I had one not long ago, and I've not been smoking for close to a month now because of an upcoming drug test, and I woke up freaked out. I kept having to ask myself if I really smoked or not. Crazy stuff.

 

wow i had a dream like that too. i didnt realise they are so frequent. the weird part is that mine was about heroin, which i never did (and never will). i remember injecting myself 4 times in my arm (my friend, she injected herself 8 times- ) and laying on my bed feeling sooooooo fucking good. i actualy felt some kind of intense physical pleasure, something ive never felt before
even if it was in my dream, that pleasure was real. i remember it very well. it filled my whole body

 

Personally, i think the idea of endogenous DMT release along with maximal REM state and the recent Salvia exposure (not only the experience but the whole idea "i'm going to smoke Salvia" was set up in your mind) help to explain this wild experience. i am a heavy DMT and cannabis user and infrequent user of other psychedelics. Periodically, i abstain from DMT for weeks to months at a time (usually about 2-3 weeks) and after about 10 days or so i start to have what i call "breakthrough dreams." They are EXACTLY like DMT breakthroughs, including having me rear up out of bed, gasping for breath, patting my body and cussing up a storm. And the imagery is so DMT like and so not like REM sleep it is amazing.

i have been fascinated by this ever since it first happened. My brain can generate the full blown, profound effects DMT breakthrough experience without the addition of any exogenous DMT . . . though an altered state (REM sleep) does appear to be a prerequisite.

If my brain can do something like this, then surely yours and others' can. What a fascinating phenomenon. i would LOVE to be able to induce the DMT state without having to consume the actual molecule . . .

 

If youve ever done LSD mushrooms or salvia you wouldn't have said that about weed being your most profound experience.

 

I've had a few trip dreams that I can remember. One of the most interesting ones that I just remembered, thanks to this thread was an unusual one because I didn't take any psychedelics in the dream, I was just walking around this average suburban neighborhood and there was panic everywhere, and I see this atomic bomb falling followed by a huge white flash, then there was a transition into the spirit world like my body disintegrated into energy much like the feeling of a DMT trip.

 

Ive done weed and 'DMT' in dreams.

The DMT in my dream looked nothing like actual DMT and the experience was me smoking it in my room one minute then in a movie theater parking lot the next just feeling light headed and off.
