Breastfeeding in public (warning – offensive content)

My 10 yr old neice thinks it's gross when I nurse my toddler. Her mom says I need to wean. Her dad won't look, and makes it VERY obvious. These are the same people who have let their 6 and 10 yr olds watch Saw (the whole movie series) and think nothing of them adorning their computer with naked faeries.

Wow! Awesome article mama!! Breastfeeding was one of the best experiences I had with my baby, for both of us. Boobie power!! I brestfed whether I went, and, maybe I was lucky, but I never had any negative comments. I even fed Rose whilst walking round the supermarket!

 

For some years now, Florida has had a law that says you cannot harrass breastfeeding women and that it supercedes any other anti-nudity law that may be in place.

Yet still there were restaurant managers who told breast feeding women to go into the bathroom to do that. This now makes the news and I hope the women involved call the authorities on the restaurant for BREAKING FLORIDA LAW! At least the stupid rubes and their company (Burger King - whose corporate office for years was here in S. Fl.) get the bad press.

I see less of it reported. Maybe enuf bad press and threats of lawsuit is making it better here.

Still, why did they even have to make a law protecting something as natural and as old as our species?

 

You're so right. I think mamamojo said it best with the article she posted. You could get kicked out of a restaurant for breastfeeding then walk into a newsagents and see breasts all over the top shelf!? As I say, I was lucky, I never got any negative reactions. If Rose needed milk, she got it,no matter where we were. But I wouldnt have my lunch in the toilets, so why should she?

 

my gf feed my son with her titty in public. I was so proud of her..

Me? yes... its great when having sex dont have to get up for a drink.. my gf leaked alot though she was kinda embarrassed by that..

i dont see why people make a big deal about it, baby gota eat right? nothing sexual about it, its simple nature at work, breasts doing what breasts are sposed to do, and im pretty sure ited be child neglect and all that good stuff to not feed your child, and if your in a public place and your baby's hungery, what you gona do?

Someone answer me honestly

If a man took his top of, or lifted it up, and let a child suck on his nipple (presuming men could feed), would it be just as discomforting? Yes.

And answer me this. Do we get WAY more male models parading around in just there boxers on television now? Yes.

Pleh.

 

For the record I don't care about breast feeding, and I certainly don't mind about naked chicks in magazines either.

Since both happen anyways who cares

 

Showing your breast with a revealing top is sexy, doing what's natural between mother and child is gross.

 

I think its is rediculous to ask a woman to go hide when her baby needs to eat. we don't tell anyone else to go hide when they eat. It is the most natural and healthy way to feed a child. I think we should show a lot more support for breast feeding mothers

 

I would have pitied the person who bothered my ex when she was breast feeding my daughter... If they didn't get told off by her in a quiet and polite (but very pointed way), I would have gladly stepped in and expressed my opinion in a manner that would be absolutely unmistakable...

Of course, I'd gladly step in if it was a stranger to me as well... lol

Fortunately for everyone involved neither have ever happened around me...

uh...only because men are not generaly able to breast feed, and seeing a man hold his tit to a childs face might look alot more sexual? if we lived ina world wear men and women both were normaly and always have been able to breast feed, it would be a hellova lot different because it would be both the man and womans job, and not just the woman, therefore ited be evolved into society that it is acceptable...
