There are some things in this world that I find hard to get my head around...here is one of them: Zero Gravity When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ballpoint pens would not work in zero gravity. To combat this problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion developing a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside-down, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 300 C. The Russians used a pencil. Enjoy paying your taxes.
Wooo, God...! how did that 2LT Dunn (i don't know if it spells like that) say in Forrest Gump.. Insane Crazy America...?
Ah that aint even the tip of the iceburg... Its crazy, the only thing i can come up with, is that this is it, something massive, how to describe it... The great leap.
That's just funny. Russians found the simplest solution and probably spent about a buck for a ten pack.
Reminds me of a quote from a Doulgas Adams book: A common mistake made when desiging something to be completely fool proof is underestimating the inginuity of complete fools.
You talking about the Hitckhiker's Guide To The Universe? Heh, my teacher used to read that to us. NATHAN'S BACK!
Well, it seems strange to me that now everything is done on computers anyways, so who would need a pen in space?
