Got to Manchester about lunchtime and ended up at Grand Central for a few Magners. Decent enough bar cos the jukebox just plays metal so it was a relief that no JLS or Girls Aloud would ruin the build up to the concert.. FANTASTIC!!! Just Rammstein, Metallica, Marilyn Manson, Ozzy.. well that's what I put on anyway

I was given some names of bars and to be honest I wish we had stayed where we were cos it was good in there. Ended up at Sinclairs nearer the venue - NO ATMOSPHERE. NO MUSIC!!!

We got to the venue about 6.45pm and got a place on the floor - fairly near the front. Got chatting to a few people in the crowd..

The support act was Combichrist - they were really good. Going to look into buying a couple of their CDs definitely.

Rammstein came on - I passed out!! I honestly don't know what happened... It was like I blacked out Brian pulled me to one side and then I seemed ok... we got back into the thick of it and enjoyed the show - this was the setlist:

    01. Rammlied
    02. B********
    03. Waidmann’s Heil
    04. Keine Lust
    05. Weisses Fleisch
    06. Feuer Frei!
    07. Wiener Blut
    08. Frühling in Paris
    09. Ich tu dir weh
    10. Liebe ist für Alle da
    11. Benzin
    12. Links 2 3 4
    13. Du Hast
    14. P--sy

    First Encore

    15. Sonne
    16. Haifisch
    17. Ich Will

    Second Encore

    18. Engel

They did a brilliant performance. Till's voice is amazing and they were note perfect. We were about 4 rows from front but really couldn't see that much. Hence we got seats for Birmingham gig... I have a lot of bruises and scratches but I can't really remember it being too heavy in the crowd..

    Birmingham:

Saw LOADS more at Birmingham although I don't like seats cos the crowd aren't as hardcore as the floor. I was amazed that most people actually want to sit down and watch it rather than get up and get into the songs.. We had a great view of the stage and actually saw the performance.. the man on fire was great, pyros were brilliant, the C02 used for Keine Lust and flame masks for Feuer Frei were cool, as was flares dropping from the ceiling and then causing a fire along the bottom of the stage.. Flake jumped in the rubber dinghy and floated over the crowd and waved a union jack. Till appeared with a huge pair of angel wings for Engel that shot huge flames from the tips during the chorus.

They were on for just under 2 hours.

Really cool show - I envy anyone going to see them tonight.

Dunno if they're banned but Till and Flake got arrested for faking bum sex on stage and then Till's dildo spurted all over the crowd. It was all part of their fantastic stage act. Shame you guys get so easily offended - otherwise I am sure they would be back.

This time it was a pink cement mixer that Till rides around on stage during "pussy" and then it spurts out a load of foam over the crowd. Although he would probably get arrested in the US again if he even did that...

I heard a rumour they're touring north america this autumn / early 2011. Are they popular in the states?

I have got to see them again. It has almost spoiled me seeing them live now - bands in comparison is going to seem almost boring. I doubt any band could top them as a live act.

If they tour north america end of the year hopefully it will coincide with my trip to florida. I WISH! ;)

I am off to watch Volkerball now :D
