i don't really understand why that means that personal experience is not very useful. what i'm saying is that some doses do taste metallic and bitter, and some are completely tasteless. so that would mean that your findings are rather congruent with mine, just that you have only eaten blotters that were metallic and bitter -- or so i'm infering from your post: "LSD is metallic AND bitter." i was never saying that it didn't... i don't know why someone wouldn't be interested in finding out everything there is to know about something they are putting into their body. the starting point is the experiences that we have all had here.
Because you have no starting point. All you can do is conjecture. Throw a theory out there and hope it makes some sense. But there are an infinity of theories, so its rather pointless to speculate, unless you have some data which narrows it down to a particular system of explanations, which I don't believe we have. It's like when we discuss ego death and the nature of psychedelics and all that. you got a bunch of people conjecturing about kundalini this, and a bunch of people conjecturing about neurochemistry that. but really both are just stories from two different camps of explaining stuff, neither with 100% evidence. So if you want, you can say something like "impure LSD tastes metallic" but that is not a fact. I'm just not sure if you understand that. You say "this is what i conclude from my personal experience". Well dude, wtf is personal experience? From my personal experience i could conclude the most outlandish things. The whole point of arriving at facts we can share in a useful way is for those facts to translate to more individuals than just you. All we know is this: Sometimes, LSD tastes metallic and/or bitter. the end. you get it? see how i dont offer an explanation? because i dont have one. and its ok not to have one. you dont need one. in fact, you REALLY dont need one that you just pulled out of your ass. not such a big deal when discussing the culinary promise of LSD, but it gets more relevant in other areas, like deep discussions. don't jump to explanations, that path leads to dogma. why is lsd sometimes bitter/metallic? I don't know
had no taste only had the chance to do it once and i was already coming down off 3 doses when the dude dropped some on my hand
haha well fine then of all my lsd experiences, two really stand out. one of them, the lsd was really bomb, and it tasted metallic. the other, the lsd was really bomb, and it tasted like nothing. sometimes though, especially with higher doses, i can really feel the energy of the lsd almost as soon as it hits my tongue. maybe this could be experienced as a metallic energy sometimes. namaste my friend.
well my tastebuds are enlightened, so i'm right. this is what happens when you take 10 hits brah, you post in forums about the taste of acid. it's rough, i know. try and clench your teeth and make it through this ordeal I've felt that on all my trips too. I don't think it's placebo. As soon as that blotter hits your tongue, its like *fwoom* the curtains just went up over a dark stage, and slowly the stage becomes illuminated over the next little bit . . . namaste :coffee:
when you two say "as soon as it hits your tongue" are you talking about liquid acid only, or blotter too? i've only had blotter and geltabs once, and i've never felt a small initial rush or anything like that. soonest i've ever felt alerts from L was like 20 mins maybe
I feel first alerts from several substances within the first 30 seconds of ingestion. LSD and RCs in particular. It's extremely subtle but unmistakeable and not does not come from any other source ime.
Actully guys... it does have a taste. But with a dose most people will be taking, you would have no idea. If you want to know what that taste is, I would suggest finding someone who has taken thumbprints.
