i know exactly what you mean. for me though my trips are different for both shrooms and acid. they are very different. but the differences are hard to explain because they cant be described. i personally always have good shroom trips
I haven't done mescaline yet but I find that acid and shrooms are very similar yet different at the same time. LSD tends to make me slightly 'happier' and more energetic than mushrooms. While both obviously give me the energy to walk around in nature or do things for the whole duration of the trip I find that I have more of an adventuring spirit on acid, most likely due to the longer duration. Shrooms definitely have more of a 'mind fuck' aspect to them and can be slightly darker and introspective. While both drugs are obviously introspective shrooms are definitely more so and I think "LSD understands by Seeing, Shrooms understand by Being," explains it the best. Also with respect to the hallucinations of both drugs I find that acid has more well defined and bright polygon shapes while shrooms produces more circular and organic shapes. I also have several reoccurring hallucinations that happen to me on both chemicals but they are always slightly different. Because of the trip length differences I find that acid is more spread out and chill while peaking on mushrooms is more condensed and intense in many ways, hence the 'mind fuck.'
Mescaline- Clean, smooth, airy. Feels like light is pouring out of you. By far the most spiritually inclined substance of these three (and I would say yet found). Sensory stimuli wonderful, but true worth lies in profound spiritual experiences/being. Best experienced alone in nature. LSD- Fast, hilarious, dynamic (thoughts, experiences, etc. are all over the place). Seems to change gears quite quickly. I would say the least spiritual of the three, though still fun. Amazement from visual and auditory stimuli the strongest with LSD, and subsequently I feel it's the best for creating/observing art. Strongest synesthia of all three. Mushrooms- Goofy, liquidy, breathing. Everything seems to come to life with mushrooms (this is also true of LSD, though to a lesser extent). Sensory inputs seems to all have a liquid-like quality. Pretty spiritual, but also conducive to just having fun. Has the most distinct "stages" and plateaus of the three. Brings out a very child-like state in many people. All three are like different flavors of chocolate- different but still pretty similar. Intensity with all three is very largely dependent on dose. I don't think it's accurate to call one more inherently intense than another. If I had to personify them: Mescaline- Wise sage/wizard/shaman LSD- Brilliant Artist/Scientist, but slightly crazy Shrooms- A playful, but enlightened being.
Took a 18 inchs worth of san pedro cactus and made it into a cactus drink the other night. What a strange trip mescaline is, I've done it 3 times where it actually worked now, another 3 where it did nothing. This trip was similar to my first trip on it, very jumpy and confusing. The second trip on mescaline was very clear and easy to follow. So this a strange substance, hard to know where your going with it because of the way you have to prepare it. Anywho, the visuals were very bright and cartoonish looking sometimes, but they felt realer, it felt like it was a part of my sober mind, and less a trip. The mind set switched a lot like acid. Sort an orchestra of thoughts, but much more jumpy. It was defiantly an ADD kind of trip, I could not stay focused. It switched back and forth between tripping really hard, to kind of tripping, to "am i tripping?". Even though it switched back and forth, I noticed that it made it easy to find the self, because you notice the different mind sets, but you also realize, the unchanging self behind it. I think I needed a little larger dose, it was almost to the peak, and I felt like I just wasn't gonna make it to where I wanted to go. So I broke the idea of an all mescaline trip and ate some shrooms. They did not really have a good synthesis with the mescaline though. The shrooms sort of took over, I could tell between the two for awhile, but then it just turned to mud. Then I started feeling my stomach turn to shit, so I smoked some green. That just muddied the trip twice as bad. Basically nothing was really happening, so I just layed there for the rest of the night being blissed out. Going in and out of different states of consciousness. I think next time 24 inchs of cactus will be used. I like the realness to the trip though, I think it could help with the integration process. Good stuff! On another note, I finally, after months of waiting, been blessed by the acid gods! Three hits of lushish lucy! Can't wait for the excitement!
That's a good point that I forgot to mention. Mescaline/Cactus comes in tides that are much, much more distinct than either shrooms or lsd. I've found this to especially be the case towards the end of very strong trips. One minute you can think you're just about down, and the next minute it's high tide again, almost to the point you were 5 hours ago. This can be frustrating, especially after 12+ hours when sometimes you're just ready to be done and go to sleep. Lastly, shrooms are a nighttime thing, while mescaline is a daytime thing. lsd is suited to either.
Yea mescaline in the daytime was a lot different, better! Lsd is night time thing for me. Shrooms can be both, but mostly night time. Night time there is more silence and aloneness for the trips.
