Tom Cats?!

Why do they have such huge ears?

 

Huh? Isn't a tom cat just a male cat?

Yes, it is. That's why I'm asking...WHY DO THEY HAVE SUCH HUGE EARS?????
Whenever I see one, his ears are like twice the sice of a female cat's.

 

I've never noticed much difference in ear size between male/female cats...

Now don't say you don't see any difference, it's obvious.

 

Of course ear sizes will vary, but I haven't noticed any pattern of males having larger ears...

 

I have....quite often. It's just....strange.

 

Maybe it's a peacock type thing... Like all the female cats think the big ears are sexy or something...

but yeah i ve seen a tomcat with damn big ears

 

up until now i had always thought that my male cat just has an abnormally small head. huh.. so it turns out his ears are just real big.
