I've written 371 out of 3000, that means i got.... 2629 words to goo till this Art essay is done!

I gotta finish it by the 30th of November - poopie pants.

Any tips on stopping me from wondering off -- like i just did -- so i actually get this essay done and dusted?

Don't count the words and always use double words that usually can be done with one, like wasn't becomes was not, little things like that.

I always find that going off on one to compare the issues to really random things usually gets rid off a few words too... like comparing the loss of an animal (i'm doing conservation by the way) to something that sounds bizarre (if u want what i actually put in my essay in full don't hesitate to pm me)

I actually once went off on one completely and said what the poachers do with the thing they kill, like "make rather nice hats"... and "make ivory back scratchers"... what can i say? i prefer exams to assignments...

Hope the first bit helps anyway... keep it up!

529... i think the whole writing an essay got lost after i drank rather a few glasses of red wine... i mean i could write a great essay.. it just wouldn't have anythign to do what what i was suppose to write about... i'd want to write about Billy Connolly and orgasms... which i hardly think my art teacher would be impressed with. But it might for amusing reading though!

You've got 10 days to finish this essay?!? Stop ya winging!!! Do what I used to do, start it the night before, go to bed at 11pm and get up at 4am to finish it, then bunk off your lesson 'cos it was a crap idea and you need just a few more hours. Wonder why I never made it to a university of my choice..........

    *edit
I think you should write about Billy Connolly and orgasms for us, we'd appreciate it!

Haha, I so know what you're talking about. I have 7 essays to write this term (all 2000 words) and it's torture!! Usually, after 500 words... I have nothing left to say. :p I've already handed in four essays though, somehow managed to write the 2000 words AND got the first one back with excellent marks (woohooo, made me so happy... my first EVER uni essay and also first essay in ENGLISH, so I was quite proud of myself). Anyhooo... good luck with your essay, I'm sure you'll do a great job! :)

I've just about finished one that has to be in tomorrow. I don't like writing essays.

Actually it's more a piece of reflective writing about my presentation entitled "Examining a presentation on The Feminist Approach to Social Work Practice"

This is my first piece of proper marked work since I started Uni ... *worries*
