Thats why the site was down for most of the day. Skip said they spent all day cleaning the damage up. And couldnt let the site be up as it was. I think it might have been trojans, so virus-scan your computers. Also, a warning message may pop up on your browser. Click "This is not an attack site," if you can.
Yes, anyone who logged in to the site today should run an antivirus/trojan remover. My Zone alarm spotted a nasty trojan in one file. The sites mentioned in the google notice are russian, and obviously not hosted here. So one can only guess what they want. They're probably hunting for Credit Card #s, and fortunately we don't take any on our sites, so I don't think it's a danger to ppl, but be safe and run an antivirus. I was actually impressed that ppl who have firefox got the message, and the message was informative. They tracked down the offender, but they want to make sure we clean up the sites first before they pull down the message. That's a good thing. Imagine google protecting us from the big bad russian mafia! I got it! Instead of saying the usual Thank God... Let's say Thank Google!
Thanx you guys for posting this, it took me awhile to get rid of the warning page, it also said something about MJ.com. Glad its back
Oddly enough I assumed this was a problem with my antivirus when it fist happened so I scanned, uninstalled and replaced with another program then rescanned- before I realized that the problem was a result of a hack. Good thing though... I had about two weeks left on the Avast! trial.
Both Google and Avast warned me about this site, since Aast caught it dont think I got a virus, but will run thorough scan anyway.
I'm finding my BIG investment ($25) in zone alarm suite has more than paid for itself a number of times. I recommend ppl PAY for this protection. It's one thing we need these days. I think we no longer have a choice, unless Windows 7 is some miracle...
It's enabled by default. Most people (thankfully) don't go poke around trying turn it off untill after they have read the message... You can't log into the site with it turned on. The downside is people forget to turn it back on again after they log out.
I knew something was up yesterday when I tried to upload a picture and got a blank white screen. A few minutes later my Symantec/Norton antivirus program said it had successfully blocked an online attack. This morning the scanner found and removed three trojans. The albums here are still acting strangely.
Fuckin' Russians, some things never change. I'm guessing they're looking for money to buy American blue jeans, Russians love American blue jeans...
The sites may be up and down over the next couple of days till we remove all traces of the hack. The hackers may come back for an encore too. So be patient, and make sure you got your anti-virus going.
