alright so here they are, my two plants so far, in an organic compost. tell me what you see, any deficiencies or watering problems. my soil PH is 7.2, im using miracle grow but only temporarily until I get something better next week. these plants are 19 days old
nobody? really? ah well I suppose I am being impatient, lol. well i suppose this being my first grow im just worrying too much about my babies. It's so amazing how these little plants can bring me so much joy.
ok your soil pH is 7.2........what pH are you using for watering? Id go with 6.6-6.8pH. mix up a gallon of that and add 1 teaspoon epsom salts. This will help with the magnesium deficiency (the lighter green edges on the leaf and darker green middles) don't be alarmed, a lot of mj strains are magnesium hogs, just don't let it go on along time without doing something about it........if epsom salts aren't your thing you can pick up some cal/mag+ for cheap. but before i even messed with that, id transplant them outta that crappy soil ASAP. really really recommend fox farm ocean forest or fox farm happy frog potting soil, not the happy frog fertilizer......BIG DIFFERENCE. Both are very nice soils........don't be cheap on soil......it's something your plant has to live in for a good while, so don't skimp on that or the nutrients........you can pick up nutrients that will last you a couple grows for dirt cheap.....well worth it. anyway im rambling but to sum it up..........get them transplanted into a quality soil ASAP, feed with one teaspoon epsom salts per gallon of water. your plants will green up and look like they should..........by the way, they are alittle small for their age but not too small.......doing good, just do those couple small things and you'll be set. - 42o -
I have them under CFLs ive got 1 25W cool white on each plant and a 42 watt warm white in the middle of them. the ferts im using right now are 24-12-16, thanks guys. oh and im watering with 6.5 ph
i wouldn't use any feed...........just plain water and when you water........water until you get a decent amount of runoff.......like water 'em in the sink and let drain. also are you using a digital pH meter or is it the litmus paper type ones? If it's the litmus paper type your probably using water with lower than 6.5pH........which is not good for soil.......if using the paper tests shoot for just under 7.0 pH......your actual pH is a tad lower than what those things say IME.
The lime green leafs would say lack of N and the crispy light brown tips and probably edges would say too high PK levels???. Heavy soil too by looks of things. Not me best subject foods prob's but that my first thoughts.
Im pretty sure his soil is still loaded with food......they're only 19 days old...........i can almost GUARANTEE it's a magnesium deficiency........that's why i said t-plant out of that HEAVY (like you said) shitty soil into something nice like auri and i have said, fox farms.......very good soil.....any of 'em. Then hit 'em with 1tsp. epsom salts per gallon of water one time and they'll snap right out of it and be beautiful..........if he does it soon.......... here's a lil info on magnesium deficiency.........copy and paste...... just trying to help......that's what i would try anyway....:cheers2:
turn the light on 24 hours, feed them only water.. they will do nothing but convert the wasted food to energy, the over wet will dry up and you can get back on base.. also loading the images on to your album at Hip Forum would make it easier for others to navigate the thread and limit stretch .. If you want a proper reply from other members, It would be courteous to make viewing the thread less difficult for some computer screens..
good call orison........forgot to mention they look a tad over watered.......but i would still give 'em a mini flush so to speak with plain 6.6-6.8 pH water......then wait atleast 3 days before watering again........then just plain water at a normal amount (like 5-10% run-off) until you can get them transplanted into a better soil.......
like you said manic, theres no need for nutes this early.. That nute he listed is high in N from the door.. not extreme, but for a newbie plant and grower< its screaming death..
Lol now ya come to mention it i see it now. I hardly ever have food probs and the only mg i've had (or so i thought) was from stress and the yellowing was the other way round from inside to out but still the green vain. So in short pay no attenting to me last post full of poo.
im not feeding them, ive only fed them once over the course of 19 days with a very weak solution of nutrients because i was noticing something was wrong. i tried loading the pictures into my album but it didnt work so im sorry for the size issue.
