are we talking creature features-because if so i remember fondly the late great Bob Wilkins of the SF bay area, and later John Stanley...great stuff and great flicks-much better than the so called horror shit from the 80's on...

In Indianapolis we had a show hosted by a ghoul who called himself Sammy Terry who used to show the old classic horror flicks.

ah yes, the television spook shows of old were great too!

however, i was referring to the live spook shows. that took place at indoor or drive-in movie theaters.

back in october, when i started this thread, i had just seen on my dvd player, the classic spook show made back in 1965 of, "monsters crash the pajama party."
back in 1966 my brother and his girlfriend, took me and my sister to see 'monsters crash the pajama party' at a drive-in movie theater.
WHAT A THRILL OF FUN IT WAS! :smilielol5:
the monsters came out of the screen and ran through the adience to kidnap a girl and, take her back into the screen where, the mad doctor did his thing to her.
one hell of a lot of scares, screems and, fun! :sifone:

the real live spook show at the drive-in, was so much damn more fun then, just watching the tv spook show.
netflix had recommened 'monsters crash the pajama party' to me so, i added it my query.
it brought back such fond memories of days gone by!
i even bought the dvd for $9.00 from amazon.com.
the best part of the dvd is the speical features. one hell of a lot great stuff there!
IT IS JUST SOOOOO VERY, VERY, VERY SAD.... i guess, the fun party times, of the late night drive-in movie spook show are gone forever!

you still have late night rocky horror picture show?
when i moved back to san antonio, texas 4 years ago; i found out that, while i was living in seattle that, san antonio enacted a curfew here.
we no longer even have rocky horror here any longer do to that fucking curfew.

Oh not here in Tecopa, but it ran at a number of theaters in Chicago. (Still does I'm assuming)

Theres got to be some small theater of die-hards running screenings for the die-hard Adult's somewhere near you ??!??

I'd never heard of shows until somebody mentioned Rocky Horror at school.
They said it was a midnight movie show, and it was too weird to be seen there.

So i blew it off. Years later, i spotted the vhs tape at a rental place and checked it out. The movie was playing, but there were people dressed up and running around on stage blocking the movie.

Then at the wedding, a caption started blinking saying "throw rice, throw rice." The people in the audience stood up and started throwing rice lol.
It was like someone was filming the show from the back of the theater.

I stopped it there and pulled the tape out, then returned to the store to get my money back, or rent something else.

Some years later i was going thru my moms album collection, and found the lp. I asked her about it and she said "Oh hell yeah, that was a fun show to go to!" I was like huh? My mom was a closet freak, and i never knew.

I found the movie again, it was a cd by this time and it was the actual movie. Good damn movie too! I can only imagine what going to that show was like now as it's not there any more. It must have been a freaky party!

Not since the 90s have there been any local movie theatres that had midnight showings of Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, or The Thing (John Carpenter's remake of the 1950s Classic)

well back when this movie 1st came out most of the actors and actress were totaly unknown! I was aware of course who the director was through my watching of other flicks from him. Of course i do believe that john is a white american male who is gay,but thats ok too. i would love to sit down with ol john drink a beer smoke a joint or whatever. From what has been said i would think that when they were filing this movie the whole cast was blazing or snorting it up as fast as it became available. I think if john could get the old cast together and do a new version of this cult classic it would really make some people rich and the other people just glad to see how the old gang has turned out. HINT HINT john take this idea and roll with it! you can have all the credit on this one he he he
