Hey all. Just bought a scale accurate down to the mG and wondering if it's just too good to be true, though I haven't been able to find any reviews that claim it to be a piece of shit or anything. It should be here in 2-3 days so I will report back, but wanted to see if anybody had used/known somebody who used/even ever heard of this scale. It's the "American Weigh Gemini-20 Portable Milligram Gem Scale 20 X 0.001g" And I ended up paying just over $40 for it.. too good to be true? Sorta wishing I had posted this before I spent the fuckin money, but oh well. We'll see soon enough. heres a link http://dawnsearlylightllc.com/American-Weigh-Gemini20-Portable-Milligram-Gem/M/B0012TDNAM.htm
I got a milligram scale off ebay for just over $20. It does not work properly with only a few milligrams. You must put a card on top and then your shit and subtract the weight of the card. I think it may be off by +/-2mg. and sometimes it will be going between 4 and 5mg you have to add some to make it five but then it might have already been five so it could be six. but it does work you just have to figure the scale out.
thats kinda what i figured, that i'll just have to figure it out and get a feel for it, so if nothing else it should be more than adequate for larger amounts and if i'm messing with anything super dose sensitive, i can always resort back to liquid measure etc.
i use that scale myself. it works fine for everything i need it for...though i wouldn't be weighing out 2c-p on it. anything in the 8mg to 1000mg range is great,
I have the same, and Shermin, I weigh my 2c-p on it It does kinda frustrate me sometimes, and make sure it has good batteries in it. But it works pretty well.
Make sure you weigh it quickly, if you wait too long it may start adding several milligrams and thats very bad with shit like 2c-p. At least this is the case with my particular scale. It would of course be better to think it was actually more than it really is, but my scale can sometimes display a lower amount so now I weigh it twice if its something like 2c-p. I wouldn't even fuck with weighing individual doses of something like DOC...way to low of a dose to be able to get accurate, I used liquid dosing for that chemical.
