It helps to know about what they sell. I've known 3 people that work(ed) there. Two of them were total gear heads (in the musical equipment sense), the other was a young woman that just checked receipts at the door.
the problem is if you actually do like working with people, or do learn quickly, you are crippled by the idiots who claim it and don't back it up. so you either have to resort to lying, or being a salesman, when neither is usually a skill strictly required for most jobs. which is mad gay.
GC is like the wally world of music stores.. It sucks, Its noisy, cluttered and frustrating to real musicians... you will probable get a headache just working there..
