I have been getting my head shaved every 3-4 weeks for at least 10 years now. I'm sick of it, and I really don't care what I look like anymore. For the past few months, I've been letting my hair grow, and it's nearly 2 inches long now! Haha, not much compared to most of the people whom which I assume are viewing the dreadlocks forum, but still progress. And that's just it, if it's progress, then it must be toward something, but as I've said I have nothing planned for my hair because I don't really care what it looks like... until recently. so anyway, I'm thinking about dreadlocks... when my hair is long enough, of course. just wondering what your thoughts on this were? has anyone experienced a reduced availability of jobs due to the fact that they have dreads? and how contradictory is it to want the hair style, because of not caring for a hair style? ;P
Agreed.!! Just Throw Your Comb, Shampoo, Hairbrush, And Conditioner In The Bin, Buy Yourself A Box Of Baking Soda, Slip Your Pillow Into A Coarsely Knitted Pure Wool Sweater,*aids knotting* Then Sit Back, And Watch Mother Nature Do Her Thing.... Believe Me, The Old Dear Knows What She's Doing.... Cheers Glen.
It Sure Does, Much Better Than Wearing A Beanie, Cause Every Time I Rolled Over In Bed The Beanie Came Off.... Mine Is A Very Coarsely Knitted Sweater With Lots Of Raised Patterns On It. I'm Sure Some Of The Girls Here Know The Word That Describes This. I Think It Is "Cable Stitch", But Maybe I Have My Wires Crossed Here. I Just Turn It Over Weekly And Wash It Every Fortnight In An Approved Wool Wash. As Best I Can Gauge From Pics Posted Here, Combined With My Fine Wavey Hair, I Am About Four Months Ahead Of What Is Considered Normal Locking Time... Such A Simple Idea, Yet It Works So Well...... Cheers Glen.
