OKay, so I am kind of new to the dreadlock area.. but I mean I have been reading about them for a month or so.. but I just got mine done today.. backcombing method, I have like 80 dreads.. no wax.. I just have a feeling that they are not done right..? like Im so paranoid right now should i have rubber bands in my hair still? or should i have more than one in each dread? when can I take a shower? im afraid that they will fall out right now.. Im so lost.. can someone please fill me in......
Relax mang. Stay away from those rubberbands. Ya hair needs friction to start bumpin uglies with ya other hairs to start gettin all knotty. Anything restricting that is slow things down. Wash ya hair whenever ya head is feelin greasy. Stay away from conditioners though. If I were you, I'd just look as the back-combing like a head start. For now just them shits clean and make sure they don't turn into one big super dread. Unless you want that. And if ya did, I'd give ya a big high five. But that's just my opinion. Everybody's hair is different.

If they fall out, well... You'll have a great tangly start at neglect The worst that can happen is you get dreads a bit slower. Either way, fresh dreads are not yet dreads, if a few fall out it's no biggie, they'll re knot.
I back combed a few of mine in the back, they fell out. I just left em and father time did his thangathang. Some people back comb and they stay perfectly. I think the best way is trial n error. Take some out and leave some in. Give it some time and whatever you think is workin best, go with that.
I was paranoid for my first month too. Trust me, no matter how paranoid you are just remember you did it the right way. I'm at 5 months right now and the progress has been unbelievable.
haha white people can have them...are you kiddin me? can your dreads be too thin? cuz they are pretty thin.. I kind of want to combine some and make them thicker, is that possible??
They'll combine together by themselves. Your gonna need to rip em apart if you don't want em to combine.
take them bands out!!!!!! they WILL fall out but when they fall out they will get sucked in where they want to be just forgetaboutit!!!! if you cant forget about it, you might as well just undo them now. patience dreadlock no patience, no dreadlock
