First of all I would just like to say that it is legal to brew alcohol where I live, so I dont need to worry about getting arrested, and I can obtain all the equipment fairly easily.

My Flatmate has been producing mead and wine for a few months now and we have gallons of the stuff lying around the house lol. :)

I am wondering if anyone here has had experience distilling alcohol, or if anyone can point me to some sources of information.

Ive browsed the net briefly but have been unable to find a thorough description of the setup I would need and how I would put it together.

Idealy I would not like to spend too much money as I only need a small still that can fit in the kitchen and be heated by a gas stove.

If anyone could share some wisdom it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

This is a pretty interesting website about distilling acohol http://www.stillcooker.com/Designs.html
I found the solar stills particularly interesting although they would only really work if you lived someplace REALLY sunny.
