Here in Ohio I simply walk up to the pharmacy counter and ask for a pack of 30 gauge insulin syringes.

A lady once asked me, "What kind??

    I said, "1 CC, half-inch."

I think she was just testing me. Just make sure you know your stuff in case you are questioned, and most important, act cool, act like you actually need them for insulin and not getting them would be a big inconvenience.

I'm 20 and never have had to show ID.

Just go to any pharmacy and ask for them. Simple as that, and they're just 30 cents a pop.

Rather than acting like you know what your talking about (because many people will ask to see your diabetic card/bracelet), I've found it useful to just write down a list a common items one might buy in a pharmacy like milk, bread, eggs, etc as well as writing down 30 g 1 cc at the bottom of the list and if they ask for proof of being a diabetic simply tell them you are getting them for your aunt/ uncle who is diabetic and cannot come to shop for themselves because they have emphazema (SP?) or some other illness that can be debilitating. I've never been turned down doing that...
