you know how i know that time machines haven't been invented?

people aren't "randomly" getting punched in the face.

 

I know because I do not have the traumatic memory of the current version of me kicking the shit out of younger me. What would happen if I went back and inadvertently killed my younger self- would I be brought up on charges?

unless we're in the prime timeline which is unable o be altered by time travel.

 

what if timelines are relative, in which each individual timeline is the prime one, and all parallel timelines appear to be manipulatable? But to somone in the next timeline, ours is the manipulatable one.
