Someday im gonna have to get a job and i want to know if that means ill have to stop my favorite pastime. i was just curious to know what jobs other smokers hold.

i have a strong intrest in math and science and my major is currently physics.

are there any engeneers or other professionals reading this??

I have a hard time immagining that any professional scientists would spend a great deal of their time on a site like this but if there is one i would like to know.

Everyone else i wanna know what you do to.

Do you like your job? What are the hours?

with the stuff you're interested in, its going to be hard to get a marijuana friendly career.. especially these days with corporate drug testing on the rise..

the best marijuana friendly careers are in fairly liberal fields..

i went to college for 2 years for journalism, and i had an internship for Buffalo-Spree magazine.. i would go to local shows and write reviews for this 12 page local music insert that was part of the magazine every month.. it was awesome.. i really didnt have to deal with any of the other people from the magazine that werent involved with the music section.. and everybody involved with the sounds of buffalo (music) part of the magazine was mad cool..

after my first week i was toking with most of the other guys and gals that were writing for the music section on lunch breaks, at shows, after work etc.. unfortunately, it was understood from the get-go that the internship i was on was strictly for educational purposes.. as they didnt have the room or the funds to hire another writer.. so it never went anywhere, career-wise.. and it was unpaid internship.. but it was definitely a potentially marijuana friendly career..

i suggest you start saving your money and stock up on some of that synthetic urine you see advertised in high-times.. because the career field you are looking at is pretty serious, and im sure many potential employers in that area are gonna want to make sure their employees are clean...

That's pretty awesome..I like photoshop a lot and I'm decent at it and I'm at a point where I'm trying to decide what I wanna do when I go off to college. How lucrative is this?

^ The Graphic design industry has really taken off in the past few years, which means it is very competitive. You have to be seriously dedicated if you want to get into a creative industry. Ive done many hours of free work for people just to get some work experience.
I wouldnt describe it as lucrative. Some designers spend years working on projects they dont even get paid for. But if your looking to make a killling - Web design is where its at. I know people who work only minimal hours making websites and internet advertisements and make between $40-60 an hour.

im a towtruck owner/driver.my hours are 24/7.its hard to make alot of money but its quick easy money.alot of tow companies dont care what you do on YOUR time as long as you aint doing it in thier trucks.i know its far from what youre going to school for but for the regular joe shmoes like me its something for them to consider.its not hard work either, you hook up a couple chains, drag the car on the truck, hook up 2 more chains, tighten it down, and drive away.

if you find a small local company to work for, they may not test you.

I worked for the local animal shelter in my town for many years, my boss knew I smoked one day cause someone mentioned it. He wasn't even mad, he was like why dosn't he do that with me.

Places like that hard to find though lol

I've never been drug tested for teaching - but I wouldn't be surprised if some places require it.

Education is a generally very respectful of your privacy in terms of testing. Just don't be stoned at your job.

Holds true in higher education, too.

They need physics teachers out there :) Depending on the district, you most likely won't get tested unless you give them suspicion.

Remember, teaching is a local matter. Every district can have their own rules. But, here in the Boston area, they do not drug-test teachers unless there is probable cause.

Any food service work usually does not require testing, I am a baker and have never been tested.
