Does no one here ever listen to The Iron Butterfly besides In-A-Gada- Da-Vida I would hope not since they are just as influential as the like of The Doors or The MC5 or even The Stooges what a drag man.

I like them. And I know more of their music then "In-A-Gadda..." hit ;) That´s for sure it´s great song, but I think they have very listenable music.

    Of course yes, offset ;)

Right in the moment I´m listening to "Lonely Boy Off Ball" and I need to say Doug Ingle had some interesting style of singing. It sounds so unobtrusiveness but soul touching.

Well, now I´m looking to "100 best selling albums of the 60s" book and In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida album finished as a 14th. Hit the chart!

Great band, one trip on mushrooms I listened to in-a-gada-da-vida after I ate the mush and waited for the trip to commence, it was awesome,I felt like I was in some tropical jungle as I saw my walls and the carpet move and bend like blades of grass. Though, Scourching Beauty is my favorite album by them.

It was the best-selling album of 1969!

The best-selling album of 1966 was the first album I ever bought: Whipped Cream & Other Delights, by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass. I was 13 and it had some great cleavage on the cover -- with whipped cream!!

No, I do not claim that it was actually one of the best albums of all-time.

Honestly, I think that Iron Butterfly was greatly over-rated.

I really haven't listened to much Iron Butterfly other than "In a gadda da vida" but that's ok. I am from the 60's and that was soooo awesome I didn't need to concentrate on much else. MIND TRIP extraordinaire!! No Shit - I spent many an hour laying in my dorm room with the glowing stars on the ceiling listening to Iron Butterfly and tripping my ass off. What a song!!
