Ones these stupid motherfucking fear hyper's said that terrorist will smuggle a nuclear weapon in a bundle of marijuana, cause we all know marijuana is smuggled to Los Angeles.. Pure propaganda- to juxtapose marijuana and terrorism- they've long suggested that the drug trade- including marijuana funds terrorism but would any organized terrorist group risk its existence by creating a distribution network that would enable law enforcement/intelligence/military to trace?

The sad thing is many people gobble that up as is - cultivating and nurturing an anti drug bias... making it less likely that pot will be legalized as it should be.

 

I always assumed buying heroin is in a way arming people in places like Afghanistan etc... I never voiced this assumption, because i am unsure of how true it is - but it seems plausible.

 

FUCK THAT. History Channel is a great and necessary evil. And until this 2012 stuff, they used to have interesting shows =P

from what i understand (which could be completely wrong btw) the taliban mostly eradicated opium production, and then our gov got mad (possibly because they wanted more heroin) and when 'we' attacked the taliban the poor farmers went back to poppies. they have to feed their families, and its not like anyone is bothering to create new jobs over there. plus then our military burns their crops, leaving them poorer, and the farmers' families to suffer. be a terrorist, be a criminal, but allah forbid we give you any option for a wholesome job.

I saw a documentary the other night about Afghanistan and the taliban which said the taliban made $100million last year selling heroin and cannabis.
