Okay so I've been smoking pot on and off for 40 years but I had never tried a vaporizer until today. I have this friend who's made a small fortune in computer programming despite the fact that he smokes like a chimney. He invited a bunch of us over to his place during halftime of the football game to try out his new $500 Volcano Vaporizer. Damn, it was so goddamn smooth inhaling it and I'm high as a satellite right now and yet it's still a really mellow high. I'm extremely impressed, though I could never see spending $500 on any piece of equipment. Guess I'll just stick to my bubblers.

My first vaporizer experience was last summer. My friends and I went to Naughton a bit of a drive outside of my city after stopping at our dealers to pick up a strain called Northern Lights. We went back to this guy's house with him that they were trying to set me up wtih. And drank wine and went in the hot tub and smoke the strain. I think I actually have a picture of me on the floor laughing in my profile! terrible picture but lol fun memories. Anyways after I finished throwing up with my head in a basket, I used the vaporizer, It was so smooth and amazing. I loved it.

i spent about $440 (with shipping) for a used volcano and it's been worth every fucking penny. every time i use it, it still blows me away. sometimes i dont vape. for a short while cause i get TOO high from it.

plus, the damn thing nearly pays for itself after a while.

-you can vape. your weed a first time
-you can vape. with the already-vaporized weed if you're out and it definitely gives you a nice high
-you can make butter with the vaporized remains and get nice and stoned with whatever food you make
-you can scrape the resin from the valve areas and smear that on weed. gives you a really unique high. sorta like hash, but.... different. (and not at all like smoking actual resin)
-you should be using a grinder for your weed when vaping, which collects trichomes from the weed you've already vaporized

there's FIVE times that you can get high from the SAME weed. efficiency at its best. worth the money, in my opinion. and it doesn't even take all that much herb for a "regular" session.

Yes, $500 is a bit excessive given that you can get some other very nice vaporizers for half that or less. BUT, while it seems like a lot of money, you use about 1/2 the weed you would when smoking it. Needless to say, it doesn't take long to make up for the cost of the vaporizer in saved weed. You'll actually be spending less on your marijuana habits with a vaporizer even though the initial expense is quite substantial.

I'm currently a light-to-moderate smoker, so it would take a long time to recover the cost. Vaporizers are for heavier users who have the funds to spend.

I disagree. ;) My wife and I went through about an eighth per month when we would smoke it, which I would consider to be light-to-moderate usage. with the vape, we go through half that. so if you do the math, at our low rate of smoking/vaping the vape paid for itself in a year. so i think you're mistaken when you say it's for heavy users only.
