Dunno about youz, but I'm loving this scandinavian style weather system we are having at the moment. Nice crispy clean freshair, and everything is pretty and white. Beats having wind and rain blown in your face anyday...

    Long may it continue.

If you agree to drive to my house and take me to Tesco and back every time it is windy and rainy.

  4. You shop at Tesco? ;)

It's not nice after a couple of days. Very bad for older people and those who are ill.

Oh yadda. Get over it. Life's a bitch.

All we heard all last year was about how swine flu was going to kill loads of people, now all of a sudden we're all whinging about how cold it is, even though this is exactly what the country needs when facing a flu epidemic- a hard frost to kill off al the germs!

I was out walking today, I walked up a hill. It was cold, but it was so beautiful, lovely crisp clean air, and I didn't feel the cold because I put loads of warm colthes on. I also managed to get around fine by wearing my hardcore zamberlains.

I passed an old man in the street and he said to me, "it's not getting any better is it?". So I replied, "Yeah, it can't get any better than this, the weather this time of the year!". He walked on looking somewhat confused...

It's just typical of this country. Everythings bad news. Oh what will we do if a few people can't get to work for a few weeks in the winter, the whole world will collapse

I hope it lasts until spring ;)

You know, this is what I mean. They had a discussion on newsnight last night about should we just stop moaning and enjoy this lovely weather? It was most jovial and everyone was talking about how much fun it to have all the snow, and to be indoors all cosy and warm at night at night round a log fire. Yeah sure some people don't have heating and that sucks, an old lady might die because of it and there was this priest on who kept saying... "oh but we mustn't forget that a lot of people are suffering ...." and all that...

Hello! It doesn't matter what the weather is, there are always some people suffering somewhere!

Just enjoy it while it lasts!

What about the poor families who suffered in Iraq during the middle of the last decade? Was anyone talking about how they suffered, while taking the kids to work in their 4x4, and then off to spend a day in the office being crass and predictable as usual!

And now for something completely different.

Instead of panicking about the effect the snow is having on the economy, I went out and took some awesome pictures again, and here is one in particular that I like. It is two panoramic views I took, squished and then spliced together and that stuck arse upon arse on each other.

I was out for a walk today and found it odd that there were hundreds of people on the normally empty pavements, walking to the shops and walking home with bags of shopping. Very few cars on the (very icy) roads. If they can walk to the local shops, why don't they normally? It brought home just how many totally unnecessary journeys people make in their horrible filthy metal boxes...

Um. unrelated point, really. But yeah I'm enjoying the weather...

I've also noticed that ppl are not only walking along the pavements, they're smiling at each other and even exchanging words with random strangers. Which also doesn't happen much IRL. It's that old Blitz spirit I suppose.
