I was watching and this isnt the first time, there are so many fucking stupid TV shows, movies that always come up with these retarded story lines of some drug dealer killing someone, kidnapping, blah blah blah because of drugs. Think how much money these asshole actors make..
I was watching numbers/ Which is about as dumb as NCIS , CSI... same shit, blah blah drug dealer whats his meth holding some clown for ransom. Wow that story really held my interest. LIKE FUCK!! Its stupid.. This math wizard would be better off trying to fix the economy, if hes so damn smart!!

Ok all the shows you mentioned are cop shows. In case you forgot cops try to bust bad guys drugs are illegal, so cops try to bust them, but in these cops shows they go after murders and rapist too. So following your logic maybe murder and rape are illegal so we can have tv shows about it doesn't make sense. Now drugs are everywhere so you see all these family sitcoms where there kids are doing drugs and they take the so call right follow the law and tell their kids its bad to influence people in real life like Home Improvement had an episode like that.

movie producers are special interest, they are also voters.. Script writers, list goes on and on.. If they were unable to write a script on drug lords they would have to write about some thing else..
Even if the drug trade was changed. Legal markets would still be competing.. Then you have this gang stealing your shit, fucking up your warehouse and you have to call the A-Team or the Knight Rider..

I've been thinkin' allot on this very issue as late and heres what I've decided so far.

Non-users live within a very tightly pre-defined realm of normality and more often than not when they come across something which falls outside this realm of accepted behavior or thinking they are able in most cases to magically put on blinders and deny simple facts in order to stabilize their worldview.

Back in the day, when things like rape and murder occurred and the assailant happened to be a user of illicit substances the idea stuck with them that "Normal people dont do these kinds of things and to do such one must be either insane or on drugs" And following their logic, most people are not crazy, therefore they must be on drugs, therefore drugs must be bad and something should be done to protect them from the crazy drug users.

Of course what they failed to take into account was that folks like Al Capone, or John Wayne Gacy did not use drugs and still managed to pull off some blood chilling feats.
Also the point that as for those fucked up screwballs who want to eat Baby livers and such don't quite fit with the rest of society, they would be more likely driven to using drugs to help them cope with the feelings of isolation they suffer as a result of being a freakazoid so that when these oddballs do in fact eat a schoolbus of cheerleaders it allows "The Normal's" to point the finger at them and declare "Oooo, He's on DRUGS!" and have a nice and neatly packaged notion as to just why it is this person was able to commit such heinous act's against his fellow man.

Sorry, I just live not too far from one of Charles Manson's favorite hangout's and it's been on my mind as it's seems to have warped many of the locals perspectives on illicit substances.
