yes, his tunes are free but Derrick Vincent Smith (Pretty Lights) is VANILLA as hell...much, much better out there when you start expanding...there are other (and FAR better) dj's not named bassnectar, glitch mob, or pretty lights believe me...check out VibeSquad, Heyoka, Kilowatts, Nalepa, Deru, Timonkey, Mimosa, and Zilla....dont get me wrong, i will support Pretty Lights every time he comes to my town or festy, but hes nothing special : /

Not to be a dick, but I don't see anything special here. It's not bad music but then again they're not really trying either.

You are right on the money! I saw VibeSquad at Hempfest 2009 in Seattle. Sooo fun.

 

i saw him a couple weeks ago. it was a great show except for the kinda douchey crowd.

 

This guy is about an hour north of my home town, cool to see local guys making it, pretty good sound.

I just downloaded this a few weeks back from my favorite music blog. The tracks are good but the hits get stale after about 4 tracks into the CD. It sounds like they use the same drum samples for every song. Also, the album is wayyyy too bassy.
