fucking do it! don't listen to they ''don't do it, go to a pro'' fuck that! I have 2 done by me. I love them. I poked instead of scraped. Used a sharp safety pin. Steralized it and used indian ink. Definitely wouldn't use moisturiser first or latex gloves. you need good grip and if you mosturised before you'd just be pushing that shit into your sking as well.
Only go in 2/2mm deep and take it slow..do something simple and small.

good for you..(sorry just read this and a few more of the other chix lame responses) so close minded..I'd trust myself way more than I would some tattoo artist I don't know!
I don't regret mine and never will..also I think homemade tattoo's look way better then the shitty professional ones, all shaded and intense. They look ghey and contrived-fack yeahhh! homemade tattoos ftw

You know why trained tattoo artists don't use india ink? It feathers. FAST.

i have seen luxie's and they are quite good. i've had mine for over a year now and it has shown no signs of feathering; still looks new. if you know how to do it and you're not a dumbass about it, it's fine.

OP you thanked only the people who agreed with you.. which is a sign of your age. Lets face the facts here, no one is ever featured in a tattoo magazine with some india ink done piece of shit of their arm. Nope, it's always the guys who have apprenticed for years and done a lot of work to make those beautiful tattoos. If you want to be a moron and end up with a black blob in 5 years by all means do it, Toolmaggot and I are just telling you what we know. When you get to be a bit older you will regret it, then you'll be stuck with the unpleasant mission of removing it.

my dad has 5 of them and they are still perfect after 20 years! trusting a professional doesn't make you 'mature' it just means your following whatever the media and sihz are telling you to do...here are mine:

(exscuse the sexiness of the photo,it was from a shoot i did the other day)

Sexy is a matter of opinion, and it doesn't (shouldn't) take as much effort as that.

Honestly I'm sick of the "don't listen to the media" bullshit that comes threw this webpage. Who gives a shit if you listen to media. People on here need to spend less time worrying about "giving into the man" and more time just thinking shit threw.

Yes, I go to tattoo parlors. I'm not going because media tells me I'm going because I know that the quality of work is better.

Luxi, I wouldn't be showing those tattoos off with pride. They are poorly done and the ink is feathering.

Regardless I'm done with this thread. Get shitty tattoos if you want I could give a shit and it's your body. You can say what you want about india ink with a needle, it still makes shit tattoos.

you should make friends with a tattoo artist.. andnot online. someone who can actually stand there and watch and give you the right advise, and not just guess at it acording to their own past experience(however knowlegable they may be).

    this.
also during the process i found that alcohol pads were helpful in removing the excess ink. and keeping it clean, too, i suppose.
