If you are really cold, do you put a big blanket over you over a heater vent?? I used to do that when i was little especially when i woke up for saturday morning cartoons. I just started doing this again today and I forgot how awesome it is.
That's why they make heat blankets/throws. I got a new one for Christmas. Use it all the time up here in the bonus room.
there are some theories thats youre exposing your body to electromagnetic fields .. While I dont particularity buy all the hubbub about EMF overhead power lines, but I dont think it to good to use them blankets constantly..
http://www.wisegeek.com/what-should-i-know-about-electric-blankets-and-cancer.htm heres a simple one from a quick google.. I use Electric blankey from time to time, also my new bed already has heat coils. I turn it on only to take the chill out and turn it off.. Spring coil bed with no heat have also been theorized to channel/direct EMF's that are already present on earth to the persons on the bed.. While laying in front of an electric heater is the same thing. It giving off Radiation... lol. thats why its called a radiator, you can get sun burn from an electric heater just the same.. Anyways I used to love sitting on the floor near the vent, sometimes I still do..
HELLLL YEAH. I used to get dressed under a blankey in front of the heater, and put my socks and clothes in front of it before I went to bed.
.. I used to have a vent near a bathroom and when I showered I would stand over it to dry off.. It was the best vent in the house, unfortunately heating areas that nobody really lived in.. But standing over the vent used to dry my skin out, so I didnt do it so much...
Hahah yeahh glad this thread is a hit. Yeah its so nostalgic for me when its like super cold and there is nothing you can do this is like the only option to get really warm and feel cozy and blissful
