    dark.

continued dark, turning to partly light by morning.

I’m not certain, but I’ve heard it before

Sounds like something Paul “Standby for News” Harvey would say or possibly Steven Wright [IMG]

George Carlin used that joke back in the late 60s to early 70s.

i've heard it a bunch of times.
it might have been firesign theatre.
i'm pretty sure that's one place i've heard it from,
although the leather weather report on saturday night live sometime back in the early 80s is also a possibility. i know it dates to at least that far back.
i was living in oregon at that time. i'm sure of that much.
so it would have been between 77 and 87, because that's when i was there.

it might be from even earlier, because i seem to associatie it in my mind with the mythical radio station w...... iyiyiyiy nenenenen ohohohoh, wonderful wino.

and it goes more like: "and now for this evening weather.
we're expecting widely scattered dark, fallowed by more dark, fallowed by widely scattered light in the morning."
