I've just started dreading, and its really taking a long time. I guess its supposed to. I don't have wax tho. Does this make a huge difference?

If Your Refering To Bro Matt's Post In Your Other Thread, I Think He Was

Just Having A Lend Of You.....

The Only Cost Of Maintaining Natural Dreads Is $3-00 For A Kilo Of Baking

Soda, And That Should Last 6 Months Based On Washing Every Day..:).

    Cheers Glen.

if it's taking a realli long time, it's taking a realli long time. that's your hair! nothing you can do about it that will actually help them along. wax just gives the appearance of dreads because it's covering the hair giving the allooooojun that it's binded together like teh dreazz. kthxbai!

It's expensive because you will spend forever drying them.

    EVERY DAY???!! Wtf!!

Wax is a no go, its icky and sticky and dust sticks every where then you pull it our a year later like pocket lint its no good mmaannn. Dreads cost nothing to maintain! Unless you buy into the wax and the crocheting and whatever else they are trying to sell you ^^

W O W ! ... I've only been around these here parts for a few months and the amount of times I've seen wax related threads pop up is ... hectic. Can't a thread be sticky’d with a big heading 'Wax' on it ... for convenience ... once and for all?

    Praise H.I.M.

If people can't see the big ***READ THIS FIRST*** that's already there, I'm not sure an additional one would help.

I usually give a new person the benefit of the doubt when they first post but seeing as they were already directed to the faq, I'm gonna bust out all bitchy.

Honestly, if you can't be bothered to do a little reading and thinking of your own then I seriously doubt you have the patience to deal with dreads.

Now I'm off to blow out my birthday candles with a queef. 'Cause I'm feeling that cunty today.

Hey, everyone likes washing their hair their own way. If you wanna go for days, or weeks or whatever, thats your deal. If Glen wants to wash everyday, he can. That's why we all have our own head of hair to do with as we please :)

I wash once/twice a week with water, and once a month with bicard/lemon mix. Keeps the shit clean and my scalp flake free

Fair Enough, But If I Read Some Of Your Posts From Months Ago Correctly,

You Go Surfing Nearly Every Day.....*lucky you*.

Surely You Stand Under The Surfclub Beachside Shower After Each

    Surfing Session...:).

I used to wash every other day but with my hair shrinking like crazy I'm almost paranoid about washing it. I try to wash it every three days though with my anti-residue shampoo I found :)

If It's Shrinking, Then It's Dreading.

Ain't Nothing You Can Do To Slow Down Mother Natures Plans My Dear.:)

I Have Suffered Major 50% Shrinkage, Mainly Because My Hair Is Very Fine

And My Locks Have Been Locking Up Like Crazy, Due To The Fact That I

Keep Them Free Of Oils And Dirt, But Most Importantly Because I Have

A Pure Wool Sweater Over My Pillow At Night, Thereby Speeding Up The

    Process Considerably..[IMG]

Dont Lose Any Sleep Over It, Just Do What I Am Doing, And Thats To

Let Mother Nature "Do Her Thing", And Just Sit Back And Enjoy The

    Ride....:D.

    Cheers Glen.
