Christmas Cards

Who here will/has sent/given any yet? I don't like e-cards for Christmas; seems impersonal and doesn't seem as thoughtful to me. I guess I'm old fashioned in that way I like to hand pick out a pack of cards that I know people will like and post or hand deliever them to friends and family. This year I thought you know the ones with the christmas trees etc seemed dull and I found this great pack of ones with a humourous picture like Santa's Reindeers turning him upside down and he is shouting "Yes; very funny!", that cracked me up lol .

 

You should make your own with construction paper, thats what I do of course it takes forever but it gives it that special kindergarten touch

 

construction paper cards will make even the grumpiest of people smile. nice call.

 

hahah get some glitter and some crayons and you are good to go

 

My parents have all their cards writen out ready, just to deliever at some point in December.


I refuse to do outright Christmasy things till then, so will sort out my cards then. Probably just give out some cute little cards, don't have the time/enthusiasm to make them (am making some handmade gifts though)

Ecards might be a bit impersonal, but I shall send some to those who I don't have actual addresses for (e.g online friends) and my Grandad. He's just learnt to use the net, and my brother and I want to set him a challenge.
It will have to have music and animation, to compensates for the downsides of ecards.

 

that actually sounds like a good idea for the fashion and crafts forum. Maybe we could exchange cards?

 

hehe, its fun cause its like you can personalize each one ya know, and it doesnt take that long. I always like handmade stuff better than material things ya know..

I'm making cards... I'll be mailing them December 1 as I always do... I've a fun idea for making my Yule cards... can't wait...

 

I love making cards for xmas, I really love doing sort of 3d ones with felt or bark and unusual materials...eeee, it's not xma until the craft box comes out

 

Christmas cards are fun to make.

When I was little I used to make advent calendars for my family... now that's just way too time consuming. But it was fun.

 

Ehh I wish I had time to make x-mas cards! I spoiled myself and my friends by buying x-mas cards by liquid blue.
