You also can't judge a book by it's cover, as they say. When people see me, they think I look pretty damn hippie... but that doesn't mean that I toe the line following the hippie creed. I just happen to fit a lot of the stereotypes. Just because someone is a " " doesn't mean that they are always following a strict set of rules that define what " " is. Also, not having a dress sense and just wearing plain clothes, is in itself a fashion statement.
I'm just kind of annoyed right now. I spend a small amount of time being "mock volatile" and as a result I'm shunned by somebody who clearly actually is kind of a real, overly-critical jerk. That is all I'll say. All is right with the world, carry on...
Ok, I'll not make my argument anymore acute than it already is. I'll back downa little and agree that you can't always judge a book by it's cover. I'll stand by these comments, though: "a bunch of clichés." "But what makes me think it is slightly phony is, I struggle to believe that many people think: "I'm feeling xyz, let me follow a set archetype and not deviate from it. (there are people that do.)" "Tbh, it isn't the intention, it is the stale nature on the genre/fashion statement etc...It just got old." Mmmm, I'm not going to win that one, am I?
I think so. Most conversations around here (random thoughts) are - it seems -ultimately are designed to provoke :boxing_smiley::frown::cuss::toetap05: = The end (...ultimately getting yourself banned.)
I don't think my mission is to provoke in a negative sense... I just really like conversations and I don't really perceive every argument as being negative. Sometimes it can make you think in a different way. I'm just not so good at getting my point across always.
I wasn't being particularly serious. I was just trying to justify my previous comment, in a oh so humerous way (probably failed...) In all seriousness, I feel the same way: I just really like conversations and I don't really perceive every argument as being negative. Sometimes it can make you think in a different way. I'm just not so good at getting my point across always
lol... I figured you weren't too serious, I wasn't either. But I always seem to sound jerkier than I mean to I get what you are saying about people following a style, and there are definitely people out there who pretty much go down a checklist of rules for how to dress, ect... But not everyone who follows a fashion is quite that shallow about it.
(I was inspired to make my remark because Face Eater has been banned) So far, I'm not sensing "a jerk"...just confidence, which is a good thing. Well, there are approx 1.5 billionn people that are following some form of fashion... All I'm trying to say is, at this point: 2010, how many people, generally considered "Emo," are being original to themselves? How many are just copying something? Imho, it's all been bastardised so much...I do think it's a dying trend, or really should be dead. I'm not quite sure what should replace it. Normal?
Well, yeah, it's stupid for them to consider that it is original. I guess I was more saying that I don't think anyone is original
theres no such thing as proper emos these days these days most of em jsut just rub a razor lightly over theri skin a few years back they cut deep man, mostof em are tryhard anyway baha
