We don't really have proper sewers here. It's more just a series of incredibly narrow channels of pipes. But there are lots of long tunnels where creeks and rivers travel under urban areas, we explored lots of those. I couldn't stay out of abandoned houses - we mostly just broke things. We built tree houses in huge peppercorn trees, BMX courses and hideouts in little caves.

I guess I still do that sort of thing, but in a more adult way. I like cemeteries, gardens and nature corridors etc.

Not sure if this counts but I love to explore old mining areas. I love all the old building and equipment and especially the mine shafts.

There are plenty of places to explore out in the sticks including abandoned mills, structures, and former hospitals & sanitariums that have been boarded up for decades [IMG]

We used to explore this huge abandobed hotel in Tatum Springs (Middle of nowhere). The place had a lot of history behind it. I think it was built in the mid-late 1800s, and over the years it was a health spa for the rich and famous (the nearby spring was thought to have healing minerals and such), a boy scout camp, 4h camp, etc.

This article talks about a girl that died in the river, and has been photographed in the room she stayed in. A friend of mine took the picture they are talking about one day we were all partying there.....they put it in the front page of the paper!

I saw a lot of crazy shit at that place, most of the stories sound too far fetched though for most people to believe me. There were a lot of Killings out there after it was abandoned, and a chapter of the KKK used to/maybe still operate on adjacent land. Had a lot of fun out that way though. There was an awesome rope swing really closeby that we used to party at as well.

There was an AWESOME, emptied out, abandoned mausoleum deep in the woods near the town I lived with in England. You could climb in through a very small hole in the wall and there were always candles laid about the room in ritualistic fashion. If one was game to climb down into the basement you could see the compartments in the wall where the dead used to lie.

In Fort Worth I had this building I would climb up onto with my ladyfriend. Had to get on there from the fire escape, and getting down was tricky. I set off the alarm when I first explored it one night.

But you could see the whole city.

I haven't done any deep exploring in here yet. I'm going to have to fix that.

When I was kid, yeah, used to explore abandoned buildings/houses, etc. There was a major freeway being built nearby, which took over ten years to complete, my friends and I did many crazy things there before it was open. Only once attempted to explore the sewer and found an opening and it is a 20ft wide river of shit, piss and toilet paper, needless to say I didn't venture into it. Now, due to high land prices, there are virtually no abandoned places anymore around here. I explore rural areas now, there are still partially burnout houses and other structures, etc out there.
